We ate at the Kopi Kiosk this morning. I ordered 2 sets of traditional Singapore breakfast: coffee, tea, soft boiled eggs and the classic Kaya breads with butter. We ordered a pork bun,a red bean bun, and a mango juice. The service was terrible and the food suck! I dont understand the rush of getting my orders when there is no line of customer behind me. Why not take the time to service your customers, instead of spending time chatting with your colleagues. After placing my orders, I walked to my table. Then I was being yelled at" you collect your food here!". Yes, I can see the sign. So I went there, she was still preparing my food, so I was made to wait there. The man behind the counter pointed at the tray. No word exchange. So I waited. Finally when the food arrived, the eggs were barely warm, the coffee too sweet, the sad looking thin thin slices of breads sandwich with a thin layer of Kaya with a thick chuck of butter. The pork bun and the red bean bun is barely decent. The mango juice was a joke. The person behind the counter mumbled something about mango and " we add yogart"..I said " Yogart?". She then pointed at the image of the Mango Juice. Yes, Mango juice, it didn't say anything about yogart?!. Didn't want to be bothered, I say ok. The "juice" cost $4.20 with some mango flavor stuffat the very bottom, yogart, big chunk of crashed ice and some cocktail fruits on top. Needless to say, we didn't finished our food and drinks. Walking away feeling really disappointed. Overall the food is terrible and service suck! Certainly made the last day of our stay in Singapore a very...
Read moreI was very disappointed with the attitude of the cashier(or order taker) at Thai dynasty stall (Thai food) at KOPITIAM Jurong East MRT. I feel that KOPITIAM management to look into this matter seriously. We found the food too sour and feedback but she just said it’s like that. That is still ok. Then we realise that we paid without knowing that Merdeka has a 10% discount. When we asked the lady she just answered that people buying SHOULD KNOW as this is kopitiam and we should show the card before payment. I just mentioned to her that she can explain to her boss she just claimed that she will pay me using her own money. Then I told her then no need but she asked for the receipt and calculated using a calculator and paid me in coins and said again she is using her own money. I told her that FairPrice cashier will normally asked if we are a member and if possible she may asked us if we have a card or member but she continued saying that WE SHOULD KNOW TO SHOW Before paying. I FOUND THAT SHE WAS VERY AGGRESSIVE AND RUDE. I Will DEFINITELY WILL never go patronise from KOPITIAM anymore if all cashiers were not taught to be more courteous and kind!!! CANT THEY SIMPLY ASKED IF WE ARE MEMBER OR HAVE MERDEKA/Senior card!!! SUCH RUDE AND IMPATIENT PERSON IS NOT ACCEPTABLE AT...
Read moreWalking a few rounds in the level 5 food court of JEM, we finally decided that we should try out the Grilled Fish Stall for many diners were seen carrying the Grilled Fish around.
Out of the 6 flavours, we are skipping the spicy flavours again too. We ordered the Tea Tree Chickadees (Grilled Fish Only) for it is a Non-Spicy choice and has chicken stock with shrooms.
The stove that contains our fish looks cool. We added our meal with Instant noodles among the default sides given together with the fish. The sides are potato slices, Chinese cabbages, bean sprouts and beancurd.
Tea Tree Chickadees (Grilled Fish Only) 鸡汤茶树菇味
Diners can opt for either Limbo or Sea Bass. The grilled fish itself was rather plain and the Chicken Stock and Shrooms tasted bland. Perhaps this combination is not up to our ideal grilled fish flavour.
The fish was ordinary in taste and has a slight crispiness from the grill.
It's literally "What The Fish" as we were not very satisfied with our choice of meal and was rather disappointed.
This makes me wonder again if ordering spicy flavours would make the fish...
