Birthday Promotion Issue • Your poster clearly states that August birthday celebrants are entitled to 20% discount + a free birthday gift bag. • While the 20% discount was applied, the birthday gift bag was not given. • When I highlighted this at the cashier, Ms. Yu Tian did not apologise, and only replied “no choice because discount was given.” This contradicts the promotion advertised and left a very poor impression. Service Issues • I requested mee sua for the birthday celebration, but the waiter completely missed it and I had to chase. • Later, a male staff even came over to ask us “How’s the food?”, but when I gave feedback that the beef was not tender, he simply brushed it off without any follow-up. This made the whole act of asking feel perfunctory and insincere. • Similarly, when I gave feedback to Ms. Yu Tian, her response also lacked sincerity and professionalism. Usually frequent to Suntec outlet. Heard that it opened in Westgate so came to try it. I reached around 11.30am. The food is good as usual. However, the service and atmosphere that I encountered can be better. The place was big. My partner and I were seated next to a family of 4. The child in that family was crying for a while. This could not be help as the restaurant was busy and crowded. Ordered 4 dishes. The first 2 dishes came quite promptly. The timing for the next 2 dishes was a disaster. We clearly saw the same food we order was served to the table beside us who came later than us. When I questioned the staff about it for missing our order, he said he would go check it. He later came back to apologise regarding the dish was served slow and said it’s on the way. I stated that was not the case as table beside us was served with the same food already. When the dish finally came, we rejected as we ordered non-spicy but the food came was spicy instead. It was so bad that we had to cancel one of the 2 dishes as we had no appetite our mood was dampened already. In the end, the team acknowledged their mistake and did some recovery service which I greatly appreciate it. Giving it a 3 stars as that was the service I received as compared to the previous service I received from Suntec outlet. It could be maybe they were new, busy and their outlet...

I had such a wonderful experience at XiangXiang today, despite a little hiccup. A guest at the table next to ours accidentally placed a duffle bag on their table, causing the tableware to fall and shatter. Unfortunately, some glass pieces flew toward our table, and I was seated right behind.

The service team handled the situation so gracefully—they immediately cleared the area and checked on us without hesitation. One staff member even noticed a small piece of glass on my pants and carefully removed it. To top it off, they offered us free dessert as a gesture of goodwill, even though it wasn’t the restaurant's fault. I was truly impressed by their attentiveness and care.

Now, onto the food—absolutely phenomenal! I’m quite a picky eater and usually steer clear of pork, but their pork dish - Hunan stir fried pork completely won me over. The flavors were rich and delicious, especially when paired with rice (you’ll definitely want to order extra!). My absolute favorites were the stir fried pork with vegetables, the claypot tofu stew, and their mega 800ml lemon tea, which was so refreshing.

This place is a gem, and I can’t wait to come back. Huge kudos to the team for their excellent service and amazing food—it’s a must-visit for anyone who loves great...
