This is a fair review. This has the possibility of being a great landmark for the city. The cream was nice and very inexpensive but the service was horrible. ( only one person to be fair) exspecially when someone has children with them. Also the young girl started talking about us as we left, a customer came up to us to informe us about it. I was orderig for 5 people and asked for only one sample for one of my 5 year old daughters and was told only one sample per person. I explained we were ording 5 ice creams and only wanted the one sample that was mango. Then I asked another very polite girl what chocolate was the best she told us (she had beautiful braids if this helps) Then the other girl interrupted behind the counter said we only give samples to locals not foreigners, we only wanted the one sample for a little girls and were planning on buying. Our reason for coming to Bratislava was buying a home with a realtor in the building of where the shop is and avised is to go there. I then ordered only three cones since it had been promised. The service was horrible with the one girl. I also asked for two scoops of different flavors one one come and was denied also, the girls said she would not and I had to buy two different cones but she was giving it to 6 others after our family. Warning ⚠️ not to eat there if you are from another country. Please read all reviews and not just from locals since most are guides. You need to read from people who are not local. Service is much different if local or not. I went back after I took our children to there room to eat and then went back to the store to speak to the owner and asked why were we denied service even though the pics on the web had scoops of two on cones the owner said foreigners are the only ones who leave bad reviews and the girls was new and must not of understood what we wanted. Very sad that an ice cream store has such shameful service when the food is nice. I would have given 5 but after the service it only deserves a 2. 😕 I wish them well and I truly hope they improve there service. The ice cream and prices are great...

My wife and I visited your shop on 11 August 2025 after having seen many recommendations about your ice cream. We went in the afternoon. One of the female staff members left a particularly deep impression on me due to her attitude and behaviour.

At first, my wife and I wanted to sample some flavours, not realising that your shop does not offer ice cream tastings. That was absolutely fine, as we understand that every establishment has its own rules. However, while we were deciding on our flavours, we overheard a middle-aged female staff member speaking with a younger, short-haired female colleague in a mocking tone about us wanting to try samples.

On that day, there were four staff members present: one male, one young short-haired female, one middle-aged slightly plump female who was very polite and smiling, and the one who served us – the staff member in question. My wife and I have travelled extensively around the world and tried ice cream shops in many places. Every shop has its own pricing and tasting policy, but whenever we ask, we do so politely. When we were told that tastings were not available, we showed no displeasure at all. Nevertheless, the staff member openly mocked us in front of her colleagues. (Please note that even if you are not speaking English, we are still able to understand when you are making sarcastic remarks about customers.)

Later, when placing our order, I admit I had not noticed that each flavour was fixed at €3. When I asked again for clarification, she replied sharply: “It’s €3 per flavour, I don’t know how many you want.”

In short, the attitude of this female staff member left a lasting...

Arthur gelato review: old town, bratislava

We had the WORST experience Here. We were a group of 10 tourists who had just ordered 6 double scooped ice cream a while ago. As soon as we entered, the staff saw us and started acting sceptical of us. The staff was extremely rude and discriminatory in behaviour. Others were allowed to taste ice creams, while we weren’t. The way of serving ice creams was also different for us (we were not given the waffle or toppings on top). They made ZERO efforts to provide good service and instead were making sure to harass us in subtle ways. They were charging us for items that were being given free to others. The staff was trying to make a fool of us when we were requesting for anything. The female catering to us was extremely aggressive.

When we made the effort to text the Instagram page of the outlet about the behaviour of the female staff so that no one else has to go through this, we received a mere one word ‘sorry’ message as a formality (no efforts to solve the problem to prevent others from going through the same) and when we responded with this isn’t done, the page responded with ‘what do you want us to do? Kill her?’

This is completely unacceptable. Please DO NOT SUPPORT SUCH BUSINESS.

RACIST BEHAVIOUR AND AGGRESSION WILL NOT BE...

This gelato place is really special, unlike any other I've tried. I can't even rate it because it's just so good. We tasted Belgium chocolate, Nougat, Arthur’s special, Pistachio, and Crème Brûlée, and they were all yummy. The Nougat, Arthur’s special, and pistachio were the best. But here's the thing: there's always a long line, especially in the hot summer. Waiting for up to 10 minutes just to get your scoop can be annoying, especially when you have to decide on a flavor quickly. The staff keeps things moving fast, which is good, but it's hard to choose when there are so many tasty options. Still, at 2.5 euros per scoop (except for the pistachio, which is 4 euros because it's vegan), it's a good deal for such amazing taste. Despite the wait, I'll definitely come back. Next time, I'll pick a quieter time to take my time choosing flavors. This gelato is worth every minute of waiting, and I'm already excited for my next treat.

One of the most luxurious shop in Bratislava serves gelato in the Italian tradition. This shop holds special significance, especially for Turks and Albanians from from Vrapčište ( N.Macedonia) People from VRAPCISTE , they has maintained this tradition for nearly 100 years, and it has reached its peak at this ice cream shop in Bratislava with Mr. Cüneyt ( 3dh generation gelatto seler from Vrapciste). The flavor and presentation of the gelato are shaped by years of experience and cultural heritage, making this shop a popular spot among both locals and tourists. ARTHUR have turned ice cream production into an art form. It’s no longer just ice cream; it has become a cake-like “gelato.” I wholeheartedly congratulate you and I wish you continued success. I love you. When you visit Bratislava, I strongly recommend visiting ARTHUR GELATO. Kind regards Dr.Keramettin ŞAR ISTANBUL

The best ice cream experience in Bratislava. They have a quite diverse range of flavours, from the basic ones, like pistachio, chocolate etc, to the more, let's say creative ones, such as Cumil (so interesting because it's inspired by the statue of Cumil, one of the top things to see in Bratislava). I got the pistachio and the Cumil flavours and I must say they really rocked together. I liked so much the pistachio that I came for a second scoop of it. In addition to the ice cream itself, this shop has such a welcoming vibe. The staff here is amiable, always with a smile and a good joke prepared to make your day.
