I would give them three out of five stars because we had to wait for about an hour before receiving the food we ordered (a pizza and a carbonara).
And for another reason... This is supposed to be an Italian restaurant, so I expect to order something with the same name as what I would find on an Italian restaurant's menu and receive the same dish as I would get in an Italian restaurant. For example, a "pizza prosciutto cotto" in Italy is a Margherita with cooked ham, not a pizza with mushrooms and corn like it is in this restaurant! Someone might say it's my fault for not looking carefully, but still, this is not a "prosciutto cotto," and I want to remind you that this is supposed to be an ITALIAN restaurant (so no excuses like "you're not in Italy"! Get informed).
Overall, the atmosphere was nice - also because we were in the center - and the waitress was kind and apologetic for the wait. The carbonara was very good to me, despite someone saying it's "too salty," and the pizza was also good after removing the mushrooms and corn.
Not too bad, I would just suggest giving a different name to your "pizza prosciutto cotto" and avoiding making people wait so long (based on other reviews, it seems to happen quite often in this...
Read moreSecond time we visited this restaurant. Sadly, this visit was a disappointment. We exited feeling ‘scammed’ by the price of the aperol spritz, which was €9.80. I am Belgian, a country with higher prices in general, but I have never known of a €9.80 Aperol Spritz.. the moment my aperol was finished, the server immediately asked me if I wanted another one, after paying I realized why: the margins they take on that Aperol must be through the roof. When it came to my Pizza, a quattro stagione, they took that name a bit too literal. Because my pizza was divided into 4, which had all the ham on one quarter, all the mushrooms on the other, all the artichokes on the other and all the olives on the other. What is that about?? Dont have picture of it, but believe me I was served this.. isn’t it obvious people would want to eat all the ingredients of their pizza on the same slice? Anyway.. to top it off, the server was not nice and didn’t acknowledge us when we left, even though we said goodbye, it also was not busy and she clearly saw us exit as we walked straight by her. She might reserve the goodbye’s for customers who tip her, but don’t expect a tip when you are charging nearly 10 euro for an...
Read moreWe've waited for more than 40 minutes for our food. The waiter was incredibly rude and seemed annoyed by any questions we had. When we asked for a bit more time so we could discuss she just kept hovering there and looking at us like we're wasting her time. She has also hit me at least 5 times when she was walking around. The tables and seating was on a serious incline, which made it all that more uncomfortable. When the food finally arrived the portion size was almost comically tiny. I don't know what kind of "rat" meat they are using, but it was nowhere near regular human safety standards. It was too chewy and tasted and smelled very weird. I feel like there were more tendons than meat my meal. The pasta was comically overcooked - they should be calling it "paste" instead. The taste was also something else and not in a good sense. When we were paying, the waiter was again rude and commented on how we didn't tip even though the whole experience was miserable. After that 3 out of 4 members of our group got terrible food poisoning. I would highly recommend to anyone considering this "establishment" to go anywhere else. Even the McDonalds across the street is way...
