I really like this place and the food is always delicious, I'd say one of the best pizzas in Bratislava. However, I need to give just one star because of the service. We came around 6 pm today, it was almost empty, 2-3 tables were already eating, we ordered quite fast and here our satisfaction started to decrease with every minute. We were served after 7 pm only when we went to the staff to remind them that we were actually still waiting for our pizza. In the meantime, it got pretty busy, and every person that came AFTER us was served BEFORE. The waitress didn't even apologize for the situation and ran away quickly after handing us the pizza. Where are the basic manners? And really basic customer care?? It happens that you might forget, which clearly happened, but at least apologize, suggest a drink on the house, it isn't so difficult to make up for your mistake. Just don't pretend nothing happened and that it was a normal situation and waiting time, which we heard after inquiring about this lengthy preparation time. I regret not leaving before they finally served us. I know it can be difficult to find the right staff, but I don't feel like coming back there because of this...
Read moreWe visited Le Due Sicilie yesterday for lunch with a group of four, and I can honestly say this was one of the best pizza experiences I’ve ever had.
We ordered the salami pizza, the pizza with figs, san Daniele ham and burrata, along with the house wine. The pizzas were outstanding: rich in flavor, topped generously with fresh ingredients, and baked to perfection. The dough was exactly how you’d expect it in Napoli – fluffy and light, yet crisp, never greasy or oily, and beautifully balanced. Every ingredient looked fresh and tasted authentic.
I’ve tried pizzas at some of the so-called “best in the world,” like nNea and Da Michele, but they can’t compare – and sometimes even serve slightly burnt pizzas. Here, every detail was spot on.
The service was another highlight: attentive, polite, and thoughtful, even offering a choice of normal or spicy oil. The restaurant itself was spotless and well organized, with clean plates and facilities.
Price and quality were perfectly in balance. It’s a shame we don’t live nearby, but if you ever open in Amsterdam, I’ll be your most loyal customer.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for a truly authentic, top-quality...
Read moreWe came in at a busy time in the evening. We managed to get a table. It took the staff around 20 minutes to give us menus. We were being served by 3 different people during the whole time.
For food we had a tomato soup, 2 pizzas and a salad. It was pretty good especially the pizza, which closely resembled original Italian pizza. The was that they didn't bring us the soup until we asked for it again, and even that to them too long.
For drinks we had a beer and a strawberry lemonade. The lemonade was very bland. It was very likely just a sirup from a supermarket, water and ice (and it cost 3€).
When we told them we would like to pay, we had to wait for around 20 minutes. Then they told us to go pay at the counter where a line of customers stood waiting to pay up.
Overall a poor experience, the staff was having a hard time serving customers and the restaurant was generally...
