This place lived up to its expectations. When we were looking around for a wine bar we found this place with a 4,8 score o' google maps. Curious about the score we went to try some wine. When we arrived we were warmly greeted by the host, Martin. As a host he is perfect. He warmly greets his costumers, asks them about their wine preference and he has an amazing knowledge of the wines he serves. We tasted a lot of different wines, all. Of them based on our personal preferences. For my girlfriend he chose the right white wines with a certain sweet and dryness while for me he chose the best red wines. He even served a wine whish he has an exclusive limited edition of. To top it al off, Martin gave us some insight information about certain places we should definitely visit in bratislava. Hats of for this bar, if I could I would give it more than a 5* rating.

I’m really sorry in a way for posting this review. We went with such high expectations after reading all the wonderful reviews. That wasn’t our experience. We went early and didn’t mind the quiet atmosphere. We were a little unsure about the lack of a wine menu and pricing of the wines. We didn’t have the benefit of the charismatic host that many reviewers mentioned so accepted a wine suggestion from the host on duty. The wines were nice enough, especially the first which I’ve attached. However we were surprised by a bill of nearly €30 for 4 x 100ml wines. I think a wine menu and price list really would have helped manage our expectations. We appreciate that local wines are more expensive, but we had two other evenings on very nice local wines at more acceptable prices.

I visited the Grand Cru Wine Gallery in Bratislava last week and it was an incredible and amazing experience! The atmosphere was perfect and the wine selection was fantastic. Martin, the owner, personally attended to our small group and curated a tasting menu that pleased our entire crew. He was very knowledgeable and friendly with a fun attitude that captured our attention and made our experience even more enjoyable. He also talked to us in a personal manner and tried to get to know us which made us feel welcome. He was also generous with the wine which made our experience even better. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to enjoy some local wine with expert local wine knowledge.

We had a fantastic experience at this cozy wine bar in the heart of Bratislava. Everything was absolutely perfect – from the welcoming atmosphere to the excellent selection of local wines. Thanks to the owner, we were able to discover many Slovak wines we had never tried before. He was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate, taking the time to explain the stories behind each bottle and helping us find wines that suited our taste. The mood was very relaxed – the kind of place where you can easily lose track of time. On top of that, we got plenty of great tips for the rest of our trip through Slovakia. You can really tell this place is run with love and care. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy authentic local wine in a warm and laid-back setting. We’ll definitely come back next time...
