Koliba Kamzík Michalská — Restaurant in Bratislava

We had been to Koliba Kamzik on Zelena on Monday 9 September 2024 and enjoyed a fabulous lunch, they told us they had another restaurant on Michalska so we went for dinner on Tuesday 10 Sept. The dinner was the worst food we have ever been served, 3 of us ordered the pork ribs and 1 person ordered the paprika veal. All 4 meals were served lukewarm so we asked for them to be heated up. The waitress tutted, no apology just stormed away with the food. When we got the food back the paprika veal was OK but the pork ribs were tasteless and greasy, very fatty - it was horrible. There was very few staff working so of course they were miserable and rushing around, and when we were given the bill the waitress asked the back of my friends head if she was paying by card or cash, obviously my friend didn’t hear her so didn’t answer, she then said ‘I asked you a question’ so very rude. They need to do something about it because if you went to this one first you certainly would not go to the one on Zelena. Amazing place, really nice decoration, music and service. The dishes are delicious and it is the best price you will find. The other places has the price only for the meat, without anything else. This has enlisted exactly what it has and the dishes are more than enough. They don't charge TIP! Which for me is amazing because I can decide what to give, others I saw they charge automatically 10% or more. This is not the case. The service was really nice, she answered some questions, she was waiting that we finish our starter before pushing us other dish, she was checking on us if we needed something, I really enjoyed the time there. The deco is really cute and the music was super nice, you could feel you were back in time. You can pay with cash or credit, the bathrooms are super clean and the place is big, so there is always space outside and inside. Totally recommended!! Koliba Kamzík Michalská was a pleasant surprise! My family of three had lunch there and the food was delicious. The interior garden is absolutely charming. The restaurant is located right in the city center, close to Michael's Gate, which is very convenient.

The only downside was the slightly longer wait, as there was only one waiter serving the indoor garden. However, the staff were very friendly and helpful. If you're looking for tasty Slovak food in a nice atmosphere in the Old Town, we definitely recommend Koliba Kamzík Michalská. We recommend making a reservation, especially on weekends, to avoid a long wait.

P.S.: Parking in the Center garage park is quite expensive, but the location is perfect for exploring...
