Casa del Havana — Restaurant in Bratislava

Today we wanted to go there, but we were a little early, around 9:30pm. It was still almost empty. The waiters told us that the place will start to get full at 10pm, when the DJ will arrive. So we came back shortly before 10:30pm and now there was a security member at the door. He told us we have to pay 5€ per person only for entering the place. What's going on here??? Is it now normal to demand entry fees in restaurants in Bratislava? But even for a cocktail bar with music I think this is most unusual. We could not get an experience inside or of the drinks and the atmosphere, but with 5€ entry fee we can't...

Expensive and cash only. My comment is not about anything wrong with being expensive. But with being expensive + cash only at the same time. When I came I wanted to spend €50 for some good cocktails that your well paid bartenders can probably make. I got just the cheapest bottled beer, as I don't carry 100€ cash around. I ended up sad as customer and you sad as a business owner, when I could have spent €50 for the cocktails instead of €10 for the beers. Hands down the best bar in Bratislava, if you are a fan of latino music. Drinks were amazing, the rum selection is extraordinary, and the bartenders are really great at offering you some drink recommendations tailored to your taste.

The drinks were more expensive than other places around, but that is not surprising at all, given the fact that they serve premium, hard to source drinks.

Entry is 5€ after 22:00, due to the DJ and also live singer.
