My recent visit to this restaurant was an absolute disaster, and I feel compelled to share my brutally honest feedback. My intention is to provide a detailed account of my experience and help fellow diners make informed choices.
I took my wife to celebrate her birthday, hoping for a memorable and enjoyable experience. Instead, we ended up sorely disappointed.
Upon our arrival, the restaurant staff seated us in an outdoor tent right next to the kitchen. Unfortunately, the lack of ventilation meant we were engulfed in kitchen smoke throughout our meal, making the experience extremely uncomfortable.
Adding to our frustration, we couldn't help but notice that there were plenty of vacant seats inside the restaurant. It seemed that local nationals were being seated indoors while we were banished to the outdoor tent. This discriminatory treatment was unmistakable and utterly unacceptable.
Now, let's discuss the food. It was an utter disappointment. We ordered both roti and lacha paratha, only to find that they were nearly identical. The biriyani failed to live up to its description and tasted more like tamarind rice. The chicken lollypop was a sad excuse for a dish, lacking any semblance of flavor.
In conclusion, my experience at this restaurant was nothing short of a disaster. I strongly urge fellow diners, especially my Indian fellow citizens, to look elsewhere for a dining experience. You're likely to encounter a nightmarish visit like mine. While it's apparent that the restaurant holds local patrons in higher regard, there's no justification for such a disappointing experience.
I offer this feedback with the hope that it will help other fellow indians make informed dining choices and consider establishments that treat all customers with fairness...

As a native āBratislavÄanā living abroad, itās a MUST stopping by for lunch or dinner whenever Iām back in the city. I love Indian cuisine with all my heart and itās my go to when eating out, if Iām in my current residence or traveling.
The variety of the items on the menu is incredible and very straight forward. Very high quality ingredients, flavor combinations tied with very homie presentation.
Donāt expect fancy chandeliers. Expect a journey on the plate and your pallet.
I believe that the environment blends with the authenticity of the dishes served at Masala Darbar extremely well. I would not change a thing here.
Today we started with Veg Samosas and Chicken Pakora, finished off with Veg Biriani and Butter Chicken. Just outstanding. Naan was finished off 20 secs before serving and made in front of us. Rice was astonishing, like it made the dishes pop out so much. The butter chicken was very soft and buttery how itās supposed to be š„
Yeah, I canāt put it into a review how much me and my family love dining in this establishment. Please do yourself a favor and come dine here.
One last bonus thing, we had the chance to see the process of how Naan is made here and yeah, it just adds onto the experience, watching the process of making it.
Thank you staff at Masala Darbarš„š love coming over every time ā¤ļø

Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe wife and I both visited here for our lunch yesterday.
It's in a very out of the way spot but not too far from the train station.
Wife had a Masala Tea which she said was excellent.
For food she had the Matter Paneer which was really tasty although a little on the mild side. The portion of rice and naan that came alongside were the perfect size along with the curry.
I had the Chicken Biryani. The flavours were great. My only criticism is the chicken. It was chicken breast which isn't the best choice for a biryani as it dries out too easily in what is already a dry dish. It was mostly ok but some pieces were getting towards overcooked. Chicken thigh would make this an excellent dish.
Service was very good. The tandoor is outside so if you get to watch them make the breads etc.
Recommended if you're in Bratislava looking for a good...
