Check-in was easy enough, we could leave our luggage in our room until we could check in. The hostel is quite nice. There are no room numbers, instead the rooms are labeled "Wine room", "Jägermeister room", etc. The rooms are clean and spacious enough for the luggage. Additionaly, we've had out very own mini fridge. The kitchen is clean and good enough for cooking, there may not be all the tools and unfortunately there was no salt/pepper so we had to buy it, but fair enough. It gets the job done and also there is a dish washer which is nice. The best part about the hostel is the garden. It is superb to just sit down, chill, drink beer or eat. Not to forget about the two cats which are just adorable and want to be petted (and get fed).
Now the only negative point I can bring up is the bsthroom. Note that we stayed in a room without private bathroom, so we shared one with another room. The thing is, it was clean. However, it only consists of a toilet, a shower and a sink. This means, if someone were to shower you were not able to go on the toilet, and it's the only one! For reasons I cannot understand, the shower has no door, which concludes to a kind of flooded bathroom. I also want to mention that more often than once, toilet paper was missing.
About the location, I think it's good. Personally, we only stayed two nights and we just walked to the city center and castle. We're young so it wasn't a problem for us ;) But in and case, I think the hostel has a very good connection to public transport.
All in all, I do recommend this hostel, it's very nice, expect the public bathroom for the points mentioned. For a perfect experience, I urge you to get a room with a private bathroom and you should...

We stayed there for a whole week and only realized after a couple of days that we all have been bitten by bed bugs. The staff wasn't surprised at all about our discovery. Apparently it is "the visitors' fault because they sleep around in all sorts of other random hostels that have bed bugs and then bring them with them into their hostel. With that said, it wouldn't be worth (the money) fully getting rid of them, because the bed bugs will always come back anyways". It took a lot of arguing and convincing until we finally were allowed to switch rooms. We didn't get a refund or apology or anything. Worst customer service! On top of that I didn't get much sleep the whole week. It seemed like the other visitors were only young party people, who stayed up all night, partying, shouting and drinking. The walls are so thin that you can hear everything that's going on in the other rooms, bathrooms and at the reception. If you want a good amount of sleep or are a light sleeper, don't come here.
Plus side: free WiFi, staff spoke English well, close to the train...
Read moreVery easy to find and get in - self operating card system. Studio Jägermeister was in the second floor, windows to a green courtyard. Simple, but very comfortable and clean. Bathroom is also modern and clean including towels. Maybe, the step between bathroom and room is a little surprise. I was accompanying my daughter to a concert, we needed only one night stay, so we did not try to cook, but the little kitchen was also clean and the fridge working. Despite the quite hot weather, the temperature inside was very pleasant. The beds were comfortable, the mattresses of a good quality, not extremely soft or tough. The idea to desing the room according to the spirit including symbols and empty bottles is brilliant. We had our breakfast in the second building in Cafe Possonium and Lokal U nas and it...
