U Medveďa — Restaurant in Košice

Visited this restaurant with family on the 27th of July 2025, evening. Initial service with a young lad was great. He took our drink order and all was OK. We then ordered pancakes for our kidos which we waited for horrendous time, I would say it could be about 45 mins. We also ordered mains and this is where all gone wrong. I wasuok with delay of pancakes for some reason although thought that customer servis would be somewhat better i.e. apologies for delay or something, but when the food is literally slammed in front of you, that is out of order. Weiteress (this time a young lady) was rude. Not sorry when we approached with telling her what and why kind of thing. I have to say, not been in Slovakia for some time but customer service is still awful. She was asking more for better respect but how can I as customer respect that behaviour when food is pretty much thrown at me. Sorry but absolutely NO! We paid for this before our food arrived. Knowing this I would leave it all and walk away. Another older more professional weiteress came after and ask if we would like to order more drinks? Haha but sorry that should come automatically as a complement of the restaurant. I will never go back or recommend this restaurant to anyone. Wish you all the best! Bill was €143! Na pivo sme si museli chvilu pockat, to musim vytknut, sedel som 20 minut na prazdno.

Pivko medved bolo dobre, ale grizzly bolo ako odspodu, verim ze to bola vec nahody, neodporucam capovat spodok suda len aby odchadzal sud prazdny, hlavne ak ten sud capujete 2 a viac dni ...

Miesto 1 hermelinu nam prisli 2, na co sme sa opytali obsluhy ci to su 2 porcie a vraj byvaju vacsie, tak nam to asi rozdelili ako sme si opytali, no zrejme tie porcie byvaju take ake sme dostali :) nevadi, zjedli sme, aj nam bolo zauctovane, stava sa. Bol tak ci tak velmi dobry.

Vidim tu fotky cibulovych kruzkov k burgru ktore sme tiez dostali, ale boli hnede, podotykam hnede ako spalene, nie zlatiste ako v inych recenziach.

Burger bol fajn, ale nic zvlastne ! Za 12e za burger medved so stedrou prilohou vo forme hranoliek, kruzkov a tatarky mozem odporucit, hadam uz si daju na tie kruzky pozor.

Co musim hlavne vytknut je obsluha .. boli u nas dokopy 3 casnicky a preto sa stali tie chyby ktore sa stali. Sice nam ponukly vodu, ale ked ista casnicka videla ci nevidela ze mame prazdne pohare, tak nam neponukla dalsie pivo... je to ta ista casnicka ktora nam doniesla 2 hermeliny a trvrdila ze to je jeden rozdeleny na polku, evidentne jej to ani nestalo za overenie na bare. Jedna casnicka so systemom v ruke, druha zas nie ? Nerozumiem...

Da sa tu plno veci este zlepsit a verim ze sa sem za mesiac dva vratim a bude nova,...

Good place for a beer and food. New bar with restaurant - nice light interior, with sitting on the two floors. Beer tasting, big burgers and so on. Slovakian Beer Medved (Bear) from Humenne. IPAs, APAs, Pils,...many options to try and they tasted good. Finally some different brands of beer in town. The prices are average as in the centre.
