During my recent visit to DA BU DA Asian Fusion & Bar in Ljubljana, I was eager to explore their diverse Asian fusion menu. The restaurant’s ambiance is modern and inviting, creating a comfortable dining atmosphere.
Cuisine and Menu: The menu offers a variety of Asian-inspired dishes. I opted for the Pad Thai with chicken, which was flavorful and satisfying. The portion size was generous, leaving me quite full by the end of the meal. For dessert, I tried the tapioca pudding with coconut cream, a delightful vegan option that I thoroughly enjoyed.
Ambiance and Service: The interior of the restaurant is elegant yet cozy, providing a pleasant dining experience. However, I did notice that the service could be improved. While some staff members were friendly and attentive, there were moments when the service felt rushed and less accommodating, especially during peak hours.
Pricing: The prices are reasonable considering the portion sizes and the restaurant’s central location. They also offer student meal programs, which include a salad, soup, and a main course, making it a popular spot among students.
Overall Experience: DA BU DA Asian Fusion & Bar offers a varied menu that caters to different tastes, including vegan and vegetarian options. While the food and ambiance are commendable, there is room for improvement in service consistency. For a more enjoyable experience, consider visiting during...

This restaurant has a wonderful location next to the Slovenian parliament and Jože Plečnik's High school. Ambient in this restaurant is very relaxed and comfortable. We decided to try out their students offers, due to their near location to many universities. Food is very colorful and you get that authentic asian feeling, but food is definitely lacking flavours and creativity. They should decorate their dishes and make them appetizing, but like many restaurants in Slovenia which offer students menus they just don't care, because if you are a student they don't see you as valuable costumer. While we were waiting for the food, we could see that Alla Cart dishes were nicely decorated and were appetizing. As it goes for this dish, the rice was overcooked and chicken was a bit dry. We liked their cucumber iced tea which was refreshingly good! Service was ok, but like I said if you are a student they don't pay much of their time...
Read moreI honestly have mixed feelings with this place. Starting with the positive things, the food is amazing, I’d say it’s my favorite Asian food boni in Ljubljana. Quantity is big, flavors are tasty and quality is good. The restaurant has a really nice environment and decorations, it feels fancy and cozy. For me, chicken curry and Pad Thai are the best choices. The negative side is that service is awful. The waiters treat students like trash, specially if they’re not Slovene, and it’s not that I’ve been disappointed by their behavior only once, every time I go to the restaurant they are super impolite, rude and disrespectful. (Special mention to the guy with glasses, I think he’s the manager). One time I came with my friends and ended up super disappointed, because set their expectations high and the staff ruined it all with their comments. Would I recommend coming? If you’re willing to accept being treated bad yes, but if you don’t want to waste your positive energy, just go to other places, there really are some nice people out there and sometimes it’s not worthy to put up with stuff that can ruin...
