The squre is one of the largest and most symbolic modern squares in Ljubljana. In the mid-20th century, during the Yugoslav era, it became the focal point for the development of public institutions and monumental architecture. Walks recommended as almost everything is reachable and many sites free. Lovely city; I'd recommend and take another visit. Many people there seem not used to seeing people of colour......
