RocoMamas Durbanville — Restaurant in Durbanville

Arrived earlier for lunch time at the Durbanville RocoMamas - Palm Grove Shopping Centre. We were helped by a waiter that was ok in terms of his service, however when we received our order the food on 1 x meal was incorrectly sent to us. We also had the hardest, coldest chips on meals that we have had in a long time and gave it back. The manager came around and we shared our opinion of their food quality. He also came back and said yes the chips was very hard that they offered. We also shared with him that we no longer supported his shop and we drive out of our way to visit other RoccoMamas as they are better in food quality.

I also raised the issue that all doors are open and no Aircon... we are experiencing the worst temperatures in a long time but no aircon.... they then switched it on for us.

Again, we will rather spend our hard-earned cash somewhere else and not support this (very nearby restaurant ) again.

I would recommend that the staff gets training in how to prepare fresh, warm meals on time every time...

The lack of other visitors is perhaps a eye opener for the owners ....perhaps why people are not visiting this restaurant. By the time we left it was already past lunch time and it was very quiet.

Service is great. Friendly waitress and very helpful manager/ owner who replaced my daughters apple juice that accidentally spilled. He did not have to do that but did. Those little things make a difference. So I will give them a 5/5 on service. Food- I always tend to have the burgers. They are good. Maybe not quite there with Hudsons or Gibsons but not very far off. Considering they are owned by Spur Group - spur are you listening this is what Spur burgers should be like and not the nasty mess they have become. The fries are good and also I my memory what Spur used to be like in the 70s and 80s. So for food I would give a 4/5 for the burgers. The creme brulee milkshake was a bit chemical. Spur group might want to tweak the recipe for that one.

facilities- kid friendly- not so much. Kids can make a noise as it's quite noisy and there is jenga which is fun, however there is no kiddie menu so your choice of dinner for small kids is loaded fries as everything else is too big for them. There is no kids play area so do bear this in mind if you have small kids. They can run out of the door to the parking lot if you don't watch them. So kid facilities and kid friendly I can only rate 2/5. If your kids are teens then it's no problem and you can ignore this score. Overall I will rate 4/5 for...

I had the lovely pleasure of dining at this Rocomamas franchise and let me tell you the food was nothing short of amazing. I have dined at others but this one is definitely above the rest. My friend and I went for the triple treat special and added items to our burger on the recommendation of our wonder waitress and hours later I was still full. Our starter was the wings and cheese balls with bacon which we equally shared which were absolutely fresh and tasty. The food was fresh, cooked to perfection and required no additional condiments or seasoning. The burgers were cooked to perfection with the additions adding that extra oomph to the food. We had a beef burger with bacon and the chicken burger with guacamole which was seasoned to complement the burger. The fries were fresh, soft and crunchy. The buns were soft. The desserts, ice cream and waffle, were absolutely amazing with the right amount of sweetness and sauces. The drinks were absolutely refreshing. I could barely move afterwards and I keep having flashbacks of the food hours later. No need to even have supper at this point. To the owner, staff and everyone involved, this is by far the best franchise and I will be returning as I was not disappointed at all.
