There are some things I absolutely love, and things I find very off-putting.

Arriving at the venue (where Gondwanas used to be) we had a table at the entrance, which was not the table we had booked, the booking we had made, got lost and we were left feeling forgotten.

Nevertheless, we made ourselves comfortable and ordered wine and food, the wine service was below par as we were left to pour our own wine and the wine was not presented to us properly, I guess it's fine for the type of establishment, but it's a simple thing that elevates service. The price per bottle was good at 135 for a Durbanville Hills Chardonnay.

The food we had ordered tasted good, the Cajun pasta was fresh and tasty, with a bit of a bite. The taquitos left alot to be desired, although the chips were good (they weren't hand-cut, they tasted like, and seemed to be out of a frozen packet.)

The main drawback was the music. I myself am a musician, a guitarist to be exact. The performer on the guitar was skilled and great at what he does, but it was WAY TOO LOUD. The speakers, aswell as his amplifier had too much Gain and distortion, making it unbearable at times. Earlier in the evening when the DJ was playing, the volume was perfect. The guitar was way too loud and the fact that he was playing instrumentals of songs I would have loved to have heard, played normally. We were happier when he was taking a break from playing.

The margaritas (frozen) were a bit dry, the shaken margaritas were nice, but too rich in alcohol. Some people would find that nice.

I love the fact that they have pool tables that don't jam, I loved that we could watch the world cup game. The corner where the pool tables were, was comfortable and a pleasure to look at, even the optical illusion on the wall gave us the vibes.

I woke up with an upset stomach and I don't know if it was the Cajun pasta I had, the pasta was great though

The waitress was okay, but from a service standpoint, not on her game. I still tipped 20%. I try to tip around 40%, as I know the industry and have worked in the industry for many years, but I feel like there are lots of small things that they can do to elevate their service. Right now it gives me a white tiger/beershack feel and I was hoping it wasn't the case. Service should be a priority, and I don't feel like it was.

The menu is also surprisingly limited, with 1 taquito option and 1 steak option. Weird

On Saturday my friends and I were assaulted by the bouncers. Very poor interpersonal skills from the bouncers that they result to assault and violence. To defend myself I started recording the incident because the entrance way doesn’t have cameras, the bouncers were very upset at me using my constitutional right to record in that instance that they grabbed my phone and deleted footage. Luckily I was able to retrieve some of the footage they deleted and as I was trying to get my phone back they pepper sprayed me. I will most definitely be laying charges because what I experienced was so bad that I don’t wish it upon anyone else. I hope the owner of the establishment is aware of the issues and fixes it before it’s too late. These guys were intentionally trying to hurt us thinking there would be no...

I've been to this restaurant twice. The first time, the experience was so nice and the vibes were giving. My waitress was lovely and helpful. The music and food was good. However the second time, our waitress seemed like she didn't want to assist us. She kept disappearing and the place wasn't that full. Compared to the first time, the place was packed and yet our waitress still came to check on us and everything was brought out quickly. We had a slight miscalculation with our bill and our waitress gave us attitude with a negative expression until we paid her properly then smiled and left. The music was catered to one culture and the first time it was catered to different cultures. The vibe and service just wasn't too great the second time. Also please have an option where we choose how much we'd...

I had thee most amazing time, went there for their breakfast special(2 eggs, sausage, 3 streaks of bacon, mushrooms, a slice of tomato and a slice of toasted bread for R59 including a cappuccino. The place is gorgeous inside, the views, ambiance, I was In awe. I took tons of pics. The staff us super amazing, I must compliment Siphokazi, who actually walked with me with while I was taking pics and telling me about the place while she was watering the plants as well. She also offered to take pictures of me as I was having a Solo breakfast. She is an amazing, sweet and kind lady, big ups to you Siphokazi. Love your service and affection. The ambience is great but the food is awful. Don't order seafood at this place. I ordered hake and calamari and the fish from a supermarket tastes way better. I complained that the fish is off and made them taste it and they insisted it's fine. I was astonished. My sister ordered the rib burger and it was also a huge let down, tested like fake meat. If you feel brave enough to come here then opt for the beef since my aunt was satisfied.
