Firstly, the front end staff was very helpful and professional, as always. I ordered the gluten free wrap and informed the cashier about things to remove, this was all noted. However, while waiting I stood where I could look into the kitchen, somewhat of a habit really. To my horror I saw my gluten free wrap, which I specifically ordered to avoid all intolerances as I have coeliac disease. Being prepared at the same time as a grated cheese sandwich which is all my intolerances. Hands were not washed between the the two meals being prepared at the same time, both were toasted together in the same toaster at the same time. I asked the cashier, thinking perhaps I was mistaken and they investigated. I was correct and a new one was made. I understand that it's tiring working in the kitchen and I am not going to hold it against the staff. However, I almost got food poisoning because of a careless mistake. Perhaps a stricter hygiene policy or training should be emplemented. Or education on food intolerances and allergies. I am grateful a new one was made, however I don't like wasting food, nor complaining about staff members who make accidental mistakes. Overall the final product was quite tasty, just mild symptoms though, most likely because the method of cleaning the toaster wasn't to standard so much less cross contamination happened than what would have happened.thank...

What I love the most is the staff, always cheerful, welcoming, and genuinely friendly. In the mornings, I enjoy stopping by to chat with them while ordering my favorite red cappuccino (rooibos tea) and traditional South African rusks.
Pure Good is located right in front of workshop17, making it the perfect stop for a healthy breakfast or a quick lunch break. I really appreciate their concept: a wholesome menu that balances proteins, fresh vegetables, and nourishing ingredients. Every plate feels complete, satisfying, and never boring, ideal if you often eat out but still want nutritious, delicious food.
The atmosphere is simple yet inviting. Being inside Workshop17, the café benefits from a lively and tourist-friendly location, surrounded by local shops and craft markets. If you prefer a less casual spot, there’s also another Pure Good café near Africa Padel, just a short walk away.
If you’re in Cape Town and looking for healthy, tasty meals with friendly service, Pure Good is definitely worth a visit.
Grazie Pure Good....
Read moreSadly; this establishment clearly relies on the co-working space and its members for their business. The service is iffy to a point where the communication between the cashier/order taker and the production staff does not work. I ordered a mixed juice from their menu it took absolutely forever after I had gone up to the collection counter to get it. Eventually the staff were clearly not bothered about the preparation of my order as it seemed to much effort to do. One staff member who was moving around delivering items saw the disappointment in my reaction and interacted with me. He agreed with my assessment of the situation and was very kind. The juice once I had received it was not worth the R60 cost of it other than it being filled with ice to make up the small glass that it came in. So; yes, lesson learnt. Not somewhere to expect service...
