Good Evening ||I am mortified at the horrific service that I have been subjected to at this hotel. It’s such a stunning modern hotel in a great location with the worst service I have ever experienced in my entire life.||As you arrive at the hotel there is no signage as to where you need to stop for the entrance. There is nobody to welcome you and there were no porters outside. Our drivers had to find a porter.||We get to the hotel at 3pm which means all rooms should be ready and inspected by 2pm.||I walk into my room to find a full maintenance team with freshly painted walls. My daughter ruins her brand new designer trousers with fresh paint. By this time I am at my wits end as I have a meeting at 5pm on the rooftop and I have to go and watch my daughters soccer match in Camps Bay at 7pm so I am fuming. I have to go back downstairs and wait until they find us another room. I wanted an interleading room which I didn’t get. I over communicated what I required in my emails. I said it’s my daughter’s 15th Birthday and explained in detail what I required.||The room itself was so dusty, the cupboards inside were filled with dust. Our sinus went crazy during the night from all the dust. Very disgusting.||I have a meeting at the rooftop at 5pm and when I was done and I am trying to get a waiters attention for the Cheque but to no avail. I have to get up from my guests to go and pay at the counter.||During the night our door rattles all night and we can’t sleep. In the morning early we are awakened by pound construction noise nearby which we were not informed about at all.||The next morning at breakfast the guy does not seat me he points with his finger and says you can sit there. I sit down and wait twenty minutes for a waiter to take my order. Again I have to get up to go the bar counter to ask for service.||This evening Leana and Thimna made up for all the bak housekeeping. Leana has very good leadership and managerial skills and should be moved to front office.||You lack serious managerial skills. Please send all your management for training before season commences.||I demand a full refund for my stay as I did not get what I paid for and I am extremely...
Read moreI recently stayed at the Radisson RED V&A Waterfront in Cape Town with my partner during a two-week visit to South Africa. We chose Radisson RED for our 4-day visit to Cape Town due to its fantastic location. The hotel is located in the heart of the V&A Waterfront, which is a vibrant and exciting area of Cape Town with plenty to see and do.
The hotel itself is stylish and modern, with a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. It was my first visit to a Radisson Red hotel, and overall, I really enjoyed the concept. The rooms were really stylish and functional, and the beds were absolutely dreamy – I slept incredibly well during my stay. We had a wonderful view overlooking Table Mountain, which was always lovely to see first thing in the morning.
The staff we came into contact with were always friendly and happy to help. We were even offered a complimentary local Gin & Tonic on arrival which was a really lovely touch. There was a rooftop bar which we did go and have a look at, but with so much choice in V&A Waterfront, we chose to go elsewhere. The view was great, and although the pool was small, it would be a perfect way to cool down on a hot day.
Breakfast was another highlight of the Radisson RED V&A Waterfront. There was so much choice, and the a la carte was fantastic. I would highly recommend their Mexican Breakfast – it was fabulous. There was also filtered water available all day in the bar, and in the afternoon they had a complimentary popcorn machine which was great!
Overall, we had a great stay at the Radisson RED V&A Waterfront in Cape Town. It's a great hotel with a lot to offer. I would highly recommend it to anyone...
Read moreI was quite disappointed with everything about my stay at the Radisson. There's just a total lack of attention to detail in every aspect of this hotel. From the moment we walked in the door, I was disappointed by the experience. The front desk appeared to be having an issue checking in a party of five in front of us, so we got to sit in the lobby and wait for 20 minutes while they sorted out their own mess.
The rooms have a dinner table in them for some unknown reason. These tables take up about 1/3 of the room, and the legs stick out past the edge of the table. I subbed my toe about 10 times before I just shoved the ridiculous thing into a corner. The bathrooms are poorly layed out, cramped, and have little metal and rubber door stops in the middle of the floor for you to trip over. The showers have no shelf for your toiletries.
Breakfast was an irritation. You'll basically receive a slightly improved continental breakfast. A few pastries, toast, and yogurt, and some very unappealing cold cuts. You get to order one hot breakfast each, but that'll take about an hour to come out. You have to make your own coffee, and there are two machines with other guests waiting in line to do the same. I really enjoy paying this much money for a hotel to have to stand around waiting for a cup of coffee in the morning. The entire restaurant area is loud, and has music playing just loud enough to discourage conversation.
There are much nicer hotels options at the waterfront, and I highly recommend you choose...
