Visited in December 2024. South Africa. Capetown. We were drawn to this restaurant by its highly-praised burgers. The spacious interior, featuring an open-plan layout, abundant greenery, and ample seating, is both inviting and airy. The open kitchen, a definite plus, allows diners to observe the culinary preparations firsthand. The Food: While the menu extends beyond burgers to include appetizers, pizzas, steaks, and seafood, our focus remained firmly on the Wagyu burger, a signature dish. Each burger is served with a side. The burger's presentation was excellent: a juicy patty nestled within a perfectly toasted brioche bun. The Wagyu patty possessed a rich, meaty flavor, though it lacked the expected succulence and tenderness; the texture was somewhat coarsely ground, with noticeable chunks of meat. However, the sauce, along with the addition of sweet onion jam and bacon, considerably enhanced the burger's overall flavor profile, complementing the cheese and vegetables to create a satisfying culinary experience. The accompanying signature salad, featuring cabbage and beans with crispy fried onions, was a delightful addition. We also sampled the prawns in a lemon-butter sauce. While the prawns themselves were small and served in their shells (requiring some peeling), they were expertly cooked; the sauce worked exceptionally well with the delicate prawn meat. Service: The service was friendly and efficient, with our server offering helpful recommendations. Despite a slightly longer than average wait time, the overall dining experience felt relaxed and welcoming. Conclusion: This restaurant offers a pleasant ambiance and delicious food, creating a thoroughly enjoyable dining experience. We'd be keen to try their other burger offerings, hoping to encounter a more tender patty. Highly recommended, particularly if you are in the neighborhood.

Enchanted by the outdoor decor, I wandered into Tigers Milk to ‘seize the night’ Decor: I love that they have incorporated nature into their decor with legitimate plants, the deck is built around a beautiful tree. Lots of seating, from bar stool to couches. Drinks: their own craft beer on tap - I recommend the wolf variety. Additional variety of craft beers to choose from if you don’t want the house brand. Wide range or cocktails. Additionally, I had the best Aperol Spritz that I have outside of Europe. Food: divine! Pizzas were freshly made as I saw the staff kneading fresh dough in the morning. Crust is super thin with just the right amount of crunchiness. Ingredients used are fresh! Pulled pork tacos were perfect, with just the right combination of acidity and heat. I consumed them in a truly undignified manner and I was not one bit ashamed. Service: excellent! Food came out very quickly and glasses were refilled almost instantly. There is definitely a good system in place and one can see it. Bathrooms very clean. They have this nice system that if the bathroom is dirty, you can take a card and hand it to your waiter to notify them. Atmosphere is very chilled, with TVs available to watch sport. A definite must when in Cape Town. The only suggestion I have is that perhaps they could introduce a beer tasting board to sample all the different craft beers. The waitress was kind enough to bring me a sample of each before I ordered, but a craft beer tasting board would have been divine.

Walked here to grab an early lunch before heading to the stadium for the Rugby Cup to grab a coffee and a quick bite to eat. We ended up sitting at the bar because we couldn't find a server when we walked in. We started with a couple of cappuccinos and they weren't too bitter and had a good bold flavor. We then shared the Triple Bypass Burger with Sweet Potato Fries and some Zucchini Fries on the side. The burger was well cooked and I liked the truffle mushroom sauce that was on it. I ended up adding a Sriracha they offered to make it a little spicier because that's all they really had in terms of a spicy sauce but it tasted really good. The sweet potato fries were also nice and crispy. I wasn't expecting the zucchini fries to look like lady fingers but they were good - the batter could've had more seasoning but I still liked them. Despite the slow service, this place has a cool vibe and a varied menu to explore. This restaurant is definitely worth a shot either here or at Camps Bay!

Oh, what a rollercoaster of a dining experience! We started off with the delightful confusion of having the privilege of encountering a stellar waiter, only to later switch to the thrill of a disappointing service ride. Our protagonist of the evening, Jade, presented us with a performance that left us pondering the depths of the menu, albeit with the help of a supporting cast of other waiters. It was almost as if the menu was a mysterious labyrinth and poor Jade was the lost explorer desperately seeking recommendations.

In the midst of this theatrical spectacle, I dared to venture out for a smoke, leaving behind not just our food and drinks, but also our cherished belongings. After dutifully informing one of the waiters of my impromptu departure, lo and behold, I was abruptly halted in my tracks by none other than our inquisitive waiter, who, with a masterful touch, graced us with the timeless line, "Have you paid?" Oh, how his succinct inquiry beautifully encapsulated the essence of the situation. His unwavering commitment to clarity knew no bounds, as he valiantly ignored the possibility of any misunderstanding and graciously demanded that we surrender our precious phone.

Ah, the bouncers, those noble guardians of establishment order, standing proudly by the smoking area, witnesses to the unfolding drama. One cannot help but admire the seamless coordination between the vigilant waiter and the stalwart bouncers, forming an unbreakable alliance against the forces of disorder and unpaid bills.

Nevertheless, amidst this whirlwind of events, we must take a moment to acknowledge the true heroes of the evening - the vibes and the atmosphere. A resounding 10 for their unwavering commitment to excellence. Despite the minor hiccups in the performance, we are already eagerly anticipating our next visit, with the hope of encountering a different cast of characters, preferably ones more acquainted with the nuances of menu navigation and the art of courteous inquiry.

And oh, the music! A triumph, a hit of epic proportions! Bravo, music...

My experience at the establishment left much to be desired as I eagerly anticipated a pleasant evening of drinks and a vibrant atmosphere. However, my expectations were far from met, and instead, I found myself grappling with an array of disappointments.

Upon my arrival at 20:00, I was optimistic about the evening ahead. The establishment exuded a promising vibe, and I was ready to immerse myself in the lively ambiance. However, my optimism quickly waned as the evening unfolded. The service, particularly during busy periods, proved to be egregiously lacking. It became apparent that the waitstaff was disproportionately focused on attending to booked tables, leaving other patrons, including myself, feeling neglected and frustrated.

My quest for a satisfying beverage experience took a turn for the worse when, after waiting for an extended period, I realized that my drink order had not been fulfilled. Three hours later, at 23:00, I made the regrettable decision to leave the establishment, still parched and dissatisfied. It was disheartening to witness such a stark disparity in service quality when the venue was at its busiest.

In an attempt to salvage the evening, I decided to purchase alcohol directly from the bar. To my dismay, the service at the bar proved to be equally subpar. I opted for a special promotion offering six bottles for the price of four. Unfortunately, the individual assisting me appeared utterly clueless, failing to provide me with a receipt for the transaction. This lack of professionalism only added to my growing disappointment.

While the ambiance of the establishment may have been vibrant, the absence of prompt and attentive service, coupled with the inability to procure the desired beverages, significantly detracted from the overall experience. A lively vibe is undoubtedly a key component of a memorable evening, but as I learned firsthand, it loses its luster without the accompaniment of satisfactory service and a well-executed...
