Fantastic place! Food is so delicious, full of flavour. If you love a good Mediterranean grill and of sorts, definitely the place to visit. Desserts are rich and decadent. The "deconstructed" waffles are a must.
I wouldn't recommend the fish, as it was not great the one time I ordered it. But the mussel pot in tomato based sauce is devine. Meat grills are done very well. Variety of different meat to choose from, whether you prefer beef, chicken, pork or lamb. The dips are done to well, or as close to as home made that you can get when you eat out. And finally... a Greek salad like a Greek salad! No lettuce! Haha.
A lot of the menu you pick and choose "small" portions to make up your meal. But don't be fooled. Numerous times I have ordered more that I can actually eat, due to thinking "each dish is small, so I need many to make a meal", but again and again, too much food, and I have to take it home.
The only negative I would say is don't sit outside when it's raining, (haha :)) you may get a little wet as the outside area isn't as covered too ideally for heavy rain. And staff sometimes don't attend to you as timeously as one would expect. But definitely recommend if you're in the mood for...
Read moreThe BBQ Workshop (Rivonia) is really not great at all! It is the 2nd time I have been there and both times the food was very very salty. The 1st time I went with a friend and we had halloumi and then I had the beef ribs and my friend had the souvlaki. He did not like it so much and I did not like the ribs because they were then nausiatingly sweet. Salty halloumi and sweet ribs. We were told that it was the batch that was salty so they did us some more that were no better. I went to BBQ workshop with my parents a week ago (Saturday) had the beef lamb souvlaki and it was also very salty to an extent that both my parents could not eat theirs at all. They offered to make us another but we had already eaten most of it. They then offered us ice cream. My mom needed one because of the salt. It was really...
Read moreMy partner and I visited BBQ workshop rivonia on Saturday and the food and service was nothing short of amazing. We both had calamari for starters which was cooked to perfection. For mains we had the Gyro chicken wrap which I absolutely loved especially since it was cooked on open fire and to end the night we shared the ferrero rocher ice cream. It's a very relaxing environment and the heaters are always on keep us warm which I loved since I was feeling very cold.
