It is with a heavy heart that I write this review, as this used to be one of my favourite restaurants. However the standard has been dropping drastically over the last year. Previously I found cockroaches in the pizza, when I showed it to the manager, she told me that they had sprayed pesticides that day so they had a lot of cockroaches come out. I left thinking I would never come back. This Friday night we decided to try again. I ordered the lamb fettuccine, which looked amazing on the picture. When it arrived it made me feel like it was one of those social media pics, where you post Beyoncé and end up looking like Sméagol. It looked horrid, the brown water base and overcooked pasta left me feeling very disheartened with my choice. Nevertheless I decided to to try it. Had Dinner with my Brother in law and sister. The restaurant was bustling but we were accommodated without any delay by a friendly young lady. Our waiter was polite and attentive. He brought us a rustic like paper bag filled with little soft pillows of what I can only describe as puri (a type of Indian bread) accompanied by garlic, crushed chilli and grated parmesan cheese. We were quiet famished and went straight onto to ordering mains. We ordered a few dishes for the table which were spinach and ricotta ravioli, lasagna bolognaise, parmesan crusted chicken breasts, one with thick cut potato chips and peri-peri sauce and the other with zucchini shoestring fries and gorgonzola sauce. All dishes were beautifully presented and prepared to perfection. The chicken breasts were tender and juicy whilst still having a crispy and crunchy crust. It was my first time trying zucchini fries and I absolutely loved them. They were light, crispy and delicious. I also tried the ravioli which was cooked al dente in a creamy white sauce.
