I can literally count the times I've been to lone creek spur and 5/6 times I've been nothing but disappointed. Twice I was asked by management not to pay for my meal as they service was terrible. The waiting time is forever, staff don't know the menu well enough. On my last visit a few months ago I even got served a slice of cheese on a side plate that was stuck on to the plate because they forgot to add it to my meal.prior to that i was pregnant and craving their malva and wings i waited a whole hour to get those 2 small items that management gave me my meal for free. Everytime I go to this spur the service is disappointing. We don't get to eat together as a family or the order gets messed up and management has to give us take aways I don't understand what's the point of going in and wasting my time to be seated n place an order just to get a take out. The 6 times I've been there management and staff had changed so frequently really gets u wondering what's happening there. I live down the road from the spur yet I always choose go drive to monte to get the best service n know my order won't get messed up as I've never been disappointed at monte everything is 100% on point as compared to lone creek spur. Yesterday the weather was bad I got home from work did not want to cook, needed to get a few things from.the mall and then my husband n I decided to get something to eat 1 time I wanted to go to another restaurant in waterfall corner but he suggested just get spur as we had our 10 months old with us and it was raining and since we in the mall just kill 2 birds with 1 stone. And as usual lone creek spur kills the vibes always. We always order the same thing from spurs. So we know what our meal should look like but lone creek spur waiters don't know meals that are off the menu yet they can debate n tell us what they think the menu is until we had to ask to ask her manager which confirmed what we told the waiter. Read moreI recently visited the Lone Creek Spur Steak Ranch located at Mall of Africa and overall, I would rate my experience as 4 stars. Although the food was delicious and the service was attentive, there were a few factors that impacted my enjoyment of the meal.
Firstly, the wait to be seated was quite long, which was frustrating as I had to wait at least 45min. However, once we were seated, our server was friendly and efficient, which helped to make up for the wait time. Although she did spill my wine but was promptly replaced.
Secondly, the noise levels in the restaurant were quite high, as there were a lot of children running around playing in the kids area and continued replying of the birthday song which annoyed my date. While this may be great for families with kids, it made it difficult to have a conversation without having to raise our voices.
Lastly, the restaurant was very busy and crowded, which made it feel a bit chaotic and not ideal for an intimate dining experience. However, the atmosphere was lively and energetic, which may be appealing for some diners.
Despite these minor drawbacks, the food at Lone Creek Spur Steak Ranch was definitely of good quality compared to other of the experience. The steak was cooked to perfection and the sides were flavorful and satisfying. The portions were also generous, which made the prices reasonable.

Read moreA poor first experience. Waiting for service while waiters sit and chat at the POS machine. Got a dirty glass with the previous patrons lip gloss still smeared on it. Dirty place mat - waiter said I can flip it over. I politely declined and asked for a new one. He was gone for over 20 minutes. Had to call another waiter, lovely person. Called the manager for us (unexpected, just wanted to place our order but appreciated nonetheless). Manager apologized and took my glass and cleaned it herself. Was so sparkly clean - cleaner than my friends glass even. That effort was greatly appreciated. Waiter finally came back with another dirty place mat - easy wipe clean plastic types that don't take long to dry but somehow none are cleaned. Let that one go coz don't want special ingredients added to our food.
It was a quick in and out snack to tide us over. The wings which are usually a fave were overcooked/fried. Hard hard chicken. Pity.
Table next to us waited so long one of the younger folk fell asleep on the table.
Had to go to front of house to get bill as waiter, Romeo, disappeared - they didn't know where he was either.
Bad first visit through and through. Front of house/managers that were cashing up, the guy that greeted us when we arrived, the one waiter and manager, pure gold.
