Beautiful atmosphere and ambiance. Restaurant interior is refreshing and pleasant.
The food, whilst beautifully presented, however leaves a lot to be desired as well as the service. Presentation is half way there, but it’s the finer touches such as seasoning and combination of ingredients which unfortunately falls short. For example an overwhelming amount of rice on the California rolls, and minimal flavouring/spice in the salmon tartare.
The staff, whilst extremely friendly and do make an effort, are evidently very inexperienced in their roles. Perhaps more training is required in terms of hospitality. At the door, a group of staff hanging around, almost intimidating to walk into the restaurant. The waitress, very sweet, but waitressing not the strong point. Long periods of time between coming to the table, dropping the wine wrapper on the floor and then placing it on our side plates. The little things.
We did get told that their wine offerings are limited, this is somewhat understandable, but hope that whatever offered on the menu is stocked in the near future.
The restaurant has potential, but did not meet the mark compared to its other (nearby) competitors serving similar food. Not sure if it warrants a return. Perhaps sometime in the future, but not...
Read moreLet me start by saying this place gets it. The vibe? Immaculate. The service? On point. The food? Life-changing. I’ve been here a few times — sometimes for the date night special, sometimes just because I needed to treat myself (and by “myself,” I mean my stomach).
Now let’s talk food. I’ve had the salmon carpaccio that was so good I considered writing it a poem. The fried calamari? Light, crispy, and sent straight from heaven. The dim sum platter? A little basket of joy. Salmon roses? Delicate, delicious, and dangerously addictive. And don’t even get me started on the rib eye — it melted in my mouth like a romantic slow jam.
Honestly, every dish I’ve tried here has been a hit. No misses. Just pure flavor excellence.
Perfect for date night, but also perfect if you’re just trying to impress your taste buds. 10/10, would fight someone for...

My husband and I decided to try Cowfish at LXX, but unfortunately, the food experience was well below average.
We started with the Prawn Wok with fried rice — the rice was undercooked, the eggs were dry, and the prawns were drowned in a spicy sauce that didn’t complement the dish at all. After one bite, we asked for it to be packed and ordered a second main, hoping for a better experience.
The ribs were also a letdown — not only lacking in flavor but also served cold, much like the first dish. It became clear that the kitchen struggles with temperature and quality consistency.
What stood out, however, was our waitress Jessica. She was lovely, accommodating, and genuinely tried her best to salvage the experience with her warm service.
The restaurant is often empty when we pass by, and sadly, now we...
