We celebrated my 30th birthday at Sinn Restaurant on a Monday night without a reservation, and from the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with warmth and genuine care. The hostess was friendly and professional, setting the tone for the night ahead. We were each handed a pink welcome drink on the house, a small but thoughtful touch that instantly made us feel special. The décor is nothing short of breathtaking—opulent, dramatic, and decadent. Think rich reds, deep blacks, and bold gold accents, all illuminated by candlelight and dynamic screens overhead that subtly shifted to enhance the atmosphere. It felt intimate, stylish, and inviting like stepping into a sultry dream. To start, we were served warm bread with two flavoured butters: one feta and pesto, the other a rich tomato and butter blend. Everything was fresh and utterly delicious. We shared a margherita pizza as a starter, simple but so well executed, with a perfect crust and balanced flavour. My girlfriend had champagne, while I enjoyed whisky and beer. Our mains were exceptional. I had the lamb ravioli, rich and comforting, while my partner had the artichoke and truffle ravioli, elegant, beautifully plated, and the perfect portion size. Every detail, from the cutlery to the serving platters, was curated with care and style. Even the warm, delicately scented hand towels added a luxurious touch. To our surprise, the team brought out a tiramisu with a sparkler to celebrate my birthday, a gesture we didn’t expect and deeply appreciated. Service throughout the night was impeccable. Our waitress was attentive and polite, and every staff member we encountered greeted us, checked in on us, and treated us with genuine hospitality. Doors were opened for us, my girlfriend's coat was taken and safely kept, and even her handbag had its own place. The smoking section was clean, cosy, and warmed with a heater, offering a great view and a relaxed vibe. The atmosphere was vibrant yet refined. Sinn isn’t just a restaurant — it’s an experience. Every detail, from presentation to service, was flawless. We felt cherished, spoiled, and truly looked after. I would recommend Sinn without hesitation. It is an exceptional dining destination where luxury meets heart. The entire team should be incredibly proud of what they’ve created — an unforgettable place of beauty,...

First impressions: The place looked nice especially the lighting and open kitchen but unfortunately the place was a sauna. Really struggled to relax due to the heat while dressed up and apparently no aircon. We moved tables to a cooler area but that wasn't enough. Also the menu's design seemed cheap and hurried and contained quite a few spelling errors.
Starters: The presentation was very good but the taste was just average. My partner had the arancini which seemed like it was precooked and heated up. I had the two oysters with caviar and it was fine but just bland in taste.
Mains: This was just atrocious! I had the wagyu bolognese which was supposed to be in a merlot red wine sauce - the presentation was great but there was zero flavour nor a hint of a sauce. I could simply not enjoy it so I sent it back. My partner had a chicken salad bowl which was a baked bread bowl with salad in the middle. This sounds like a good idea but the salad sauce made everything soggy and gross at the bottom. He did not send it back but should've in my opinion.
The manager took my meal back and I ordered the Crazy Chicken Pizza instead. It was a piece of sourdough with basically only a block of cheese melted over it. Again zero flavour and no other ingredients could be tasted. I didn't finish it but did not even bother to take a doggy bag.
The only pros I could think of was that the service was quite good at least up to the point where we sent our food back and our server seemed to have...
Read moreMy partner and I had an incredible experience at SINN From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm and welcoming, with just the right blend of elegance and comfort. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly - they made us feel like honored guests.
The food was the real star. Every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. You could tell that great care went into selecting fresh ingredients and crafting a well-balanced menu. Highlights for me were the starters, the lamb and their dessert, but honestly, everything we tried was exceptional. This place is a true gem, and I can’t wait to return. Oh and also the band was everything. We enjoyed the music by Clinton Viljoen.
A special shout-out to the restaurant’s photographer, Kenny whose stunning work captures the essence of the dining experience. The photos were not only visually striking but also authentic. You could almost taste the food through the images. Their ability to highlight both the artistry of the dishes and the atmosphere of the space is unmatched. If you’re looking for someone to bring your brand or event to life visually, I highly recommend them.
A special Thank you to Clive for booking us...
