J&S SUSHI NORWOOD — Restaurant in Gauteng

We ordered a sushi platter from the J&S Norwood branch, and were very disappointed. The sushi tasted quite strange. It had some sort of taste that we couldn’t place, but also was bland, and the colour of the salmon also didn’t look appealing. As avid sushi eaters, we found the quality poor when compared to other restaurants. The prawn spring rolls were extremely salty, with the filling being 90% veg and 10% prawn. We’ve had J&S takeaway before and didn’t enjoy it back then, and thought it may have that it was a delivery. Even in store it wasn’t great, so that doesn’t seem to be the case. This is my honest opinion and I hope whoever visits the restaurant will have a better experience...

I would rate this 0 stars if I could. The food was an absolute disaster. Burnt chicken, overly salted food with the wrong flavours. They even said they were out of almost all the items on their menu. The prawn in the sushi was said to be ‘steamed’ but it was clearly raw.

Jenny the manager was very unhelpful and rude towards us. She did not even apologise and try to amend the poor...

A superb tiny slice of Japan in Jozi. We enjoyed the Volcano Fry sushi platter here - more than any high-end restaurant I've visited. The portion was more than enough for 3 ppl to share. It was wholesome, tasty and fresh, and elegantly served. The sauces compliment the platter. Staff are friendly here and accommodating. There is sufficient seating available. Parking is available...
