Visited this restuarant for the first time and Wow!!!!!!!!!! What a fantastic find. We were blown away by the price, quality, variety and taste of the food. We were lucky to have visited on a Tuesday night, which is when they have a R90 pp buffet. I really was expecting a basic spread for the price but I was pleasantly surprised. The variety was one of the best I have had. There was a Choice of about 12 vegetarian starters, each one a delicious master piece. There were items I had never tasted before! The starters alone were well worth R90. The main course compromised of chinese noodles and Manchurian, lamb and chicken curries, butter chicken, rice, Naan bread, fried fish, numerous veg curries, fresh salads, and to top off the meal, were the most crispy, delicious, freshly made jalebis I have ever tasted. There was also ice cream and vermicelli. I have to say that irrespective of the great price, this is one of the best Indian buffets I have ever had the pleasure of eating at. Every single item was so well made, with the best ingredients and with such pride and perfection. The food was not too spicy, but full of flavour. The restuarant was busy, but service was good. I found the modest decor wonderful, as it gave true authenticity to the place. I would give this restuarant a...
Read moreOne of the oldest place in Joberg for Indain food. The buffet on Tuesday and Saturday are amzaing to have. Thou the presentation is not that great, but the food is lovely with great taste, look out for the veg option where, you shall find the lovely Indain street food, like gol gappa, pani puri or what ever been called in the different part of Indai, its a cracer which is stuffed with fillings of patatoes and other stuff, filled with the hot and sweet chutey( Type of Sauce) and crack striagh into the mouth to get the yummy feeling.Go on to Dahi Bhalla, which is some soft doughnut type of stuff, which is covered with sweet yougurt. Spinkle the same with some salt and red chile powder. Long list to go ahead. These are only the few starter which are to be seen, other then that there are quite a few more to explore, like pakodas and samosas. The main course is also amzaing, like in the inidanise chinesse food which contains manchurian and noddles, to indian curries in veg and chicken and lamb, to Roti Naan, overall a amazing experience. yes the place has lovely dessserts too. One can opt of the ala cart menu, which is also very much amaxzing....

Read moreThis was the most awful experience I have had in years. The service was non- existent, the tables sticky, the staff unwelcoming. the starters were cold and greasy, the plates chipped, the naan bread doughy and the samosas pale and stodgy. No help offered at the buffet. We had to beg for refills of cold empty food dishes. The salads at the main course area were at best soggy pools of limp lettuce or empty. We started our meal just after 7 30pm. By 9 30 pm no refills had taken place.Oozing hacked watermelon had run out . NO dessert . We were given small bowls of poor quality ice cream after we told the staff the dessert was finished. The management also unwelcoming. I cannot believe that patrons will accept such inferior quality, exemplified by a lamb curry that...
