I went to the Krispy Kreme in Greenstone Mall this morning, as I often do because I really enjoy the coffee there and the staff are usually so nice, but this morning I had a completely different experience...
I stood waiting at the till to order my coffee and nobody even acknowledged me (this was at 8.10am - if you open at 8am then you should be ready to serve customers at 8am... not still unpacking). A couple then approached the donut section and were attended to immediately so naturally I was very annoyed! So I looked at the lady serving the couple and she just said "Oh, sorry... we'll help you now now". A lady then came to assist me and I ordered a regular cappuccino, single shot. While the lady was making it I reminded her that it's a single shot please (she didn't even acknowledge me) so when I got my coffee and tasted it I could immediately test it was not a single shot, it was very strong. I then said to the lady (her name was Precious) that it's not a single shot as I ordered and she then stood there arguing with me. I then asked her what was going on with the customer service there this morning and she then just laughed at me and walked away....
I'm so disgusted in the service there and I'm not sure I would ever support Krispy Kreme again if you have people like this working for you. There are so many people who don't have jobs and would do anything to get a job and then people like Precious just don't seem to care or even want to be there.... being in the service industry myself, this level of service is horrible! But today I arrived at the greenstone booth at 7:55am I approached a young gentleman and asked for two large cappuccinos and donuts, he the proceeded to say we open at 8am and then ignored my order altogether, which then it is my fault for being 5 minutes early, however then surely this is where hospitality comes into play and rather say to me, ok I've got your order if you could give me 5 minutes and I'll assist you, or even better just do my order as their were 3 employees and the 5 minutes would have put out the order without hassle.
