I recently had an extremely disappointing experience at Naked Coffee in Sandton City Mall. While job hunting, I approached the counter to offer my CV and was met with unprofessional and unbelievably rude behaviour from the manager. He mockingly questioned my energy level, asking, "Where’s the energy of a barista?" in a condescending manner. When I asked if he was the manager, he confirmed and then stated, "I’m worried about you scaring my clients away," which I found extremely offensive and insanely disrespectful.
As someone actively looking for employment, I expect a basic level of respect and professionalism, especially from a manager. This experience has left me with a terrible impression of Naked Coffee, and I wouldn't recommend others come to this coffee shop because of the attitude...
Read moreA small coffee shop situated under the large escalators in Sandton City mall. I think it’s quite a nice use of space and has all the cute details associated with the Naked chain. The chai latte I had here was probably the best I’ve had in my life so would definitely recommend. The staff were all very friendly and the manager was making turns checking in on the customers which was appreciated. However it seems like they struggle to cater for the sit down customers and the takeaway customers at the same time as we had to wait a ridiculously long time for our coffee and then again for the bill. I would come again but hope to have some faster...

I’m familiar with the Naked Coffee in Cape Town and was curious to find out whether I would have a similar or vastly different experience.
Every bite of food at the Johannesburg Naked Coffee, was welcomingly familiar, and every sip was spectacular. The gluten- free pumpkin flapjacks with berries and coconut cream, is a delicious treat, as is their banana bread.
By my recommendation, know that the Naked coffee goes perfectly with Macadamia...
