Nando's Sandton City — Restaurant in Gauteng

Placed order from the table using the app because no one was coming to take our order. Waited eventually asked 1 lady but she could only serve the table next to us for some reason (bigger group) so was told to speak to her colleague. Asked him waited and he never returned so went to find out myself and no one knew about my order and the guy I asked disappeared, turns out he knocked off 5 minutes after I asked him. Waited another 10 minutes for a manager to come because seems like she was the only person that could operate the ice cream machine. One of the staff went to the back assuming to the office and looks like no one checked their online order system. They went to apologise to my wife that their system was "offline" (learning from our government departments) but when I came to ask them it surprisingly came back online and they got my order very quickly. Not sure what the second manager was doing at the back in the office. Later (I left the store due to frustration) my wife asked the same waiter that could only serve the next door table for take away containers and she walked up and down with the containers in her tray and only after she made sure the other table got all their drinks (a few trips as they were 10+ people) did she come give the containers. Now Nandos will give me an email address to send them all this detail to make it seem like they do something about complaints but guess what, like the guy that knocked off the guy reading the emails does nothing, been through this with another store and still waiting for feedback or a response from Nandos over 6 months later. As much as Nandos makes fun of the government they becoming alot like them...

My wife and I had a memorable experience at Nando’s in Mandela Square. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted by the staff. The restaurant’s atmosphere was modern and inviting, creating a pleasant setting for a relaxed meal.

The service was quick and attentive. Our servers took the time to explain the various menu options and offered excellent advice on choosing our dishes. We opted for chicken-based meals, perfectly grilled, accompanied by flavorful vegetables and fries. Every bite was a real delight.

What truly stood out, however, was the Piri Piri sauce! We loved its perfect balance of heat and flavor. It added a special touch to our dishes and enhanced the entire meal.

The quality of the food, the warm welcome, and the impeccable service made this dining experience very enjoyable. We left Nando’s at Mandela Square completely satisfied and eager to return. The service I receive always when I order from this store is pathetic. On a number of occasions I order there is always something. I placed an order today @ 12:35 only for my order to get to me by 14:00. I called the store after an hour of not seeing any movement on my order on the app and after the Uber lady calling me telling there is a delay from the store with my order. When I called, I spoke to a lady called Lorraine who told me my order had left the store while the Uber was still waiting for it. I finally asked Lorraine how I can go about lodging a complaint and she seemed very clueless with their processes, all she could do was play blame game and say the issue was on the Uber side, I told her that was not the case as the Uber lady was in the store waiting with no one assisting and she therefore said sorry I don't know how you can lodge a complaint. The service is terrible and no one ever responds to complaints.. I am very disappoint and never foresee any future purchase...
