The food and service wasn't great. I ordered duck spring rolls and when I got it, it was almost ice cold inside. I told the waitron and he then took it back, returned and it was piping hot. I asked him why it was that way, he explained that he warmed it in the microwave. Microwaves should be banned from restaurants.
My sushi then came, one dip in the soya and everything fell apart. The description says that it comes with teriyaki sauce on top but it was so limited that it didn't add any value to the pieces on my plate. The Tom yum linguine was so terrible and saucy and it came out so quickly that I feel that it wasn't made in a wok but I never saw, so I can't judge. Anyway, I soldiered through because I'm sure they would have just rinsed it and sent it back to me.
There were 2 Managers sitting in the store. One looked like he could be the owner and the other like the store manager but not one of them bothered checking on me or anyone else in the restaurant for that matter. They just continued their conversation. The one waitron was very nice and helpful and most probably the only reason I gave the place 2 stars. My waitron was very slow but he could be a trainee, so I forgive him for that.
I'm not sure what the general feedback is about this Simply Asia Gateway but I would definitely suggest they pay more attention to what's happening in the store and to their customers. THe store was empty and I should have followed my gut and gone somewhere else with more people but because I love Simply Asia, I went there.
May they "Keep on Thai-ING" and improve on quality...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI don't think 1star is even fair, but I will rate 1star because of the numerous appaling quality of meals received which I can no longer overlook, I have many more pictures to justify this, I ordered meals via the app so the owner Amith Singhin in a rude arrogant high pitched tone duly informed me that their policy is to ensure they don't refund or redo meals and therefore should not complain about the caliber of meals received instead just accept it and leave which he and Sam his gateway simply asia manager ensured I do, and I was thus forced to leave with, and unpleasant meals with possible food poisoning side effects because they refused to refund my order and take back their unscrupulous poor quality prepared meals, and they were extremely incompetent and their absurd rude arrogant attitude and harsh customer service was disappointing because they said it wasn't their fault these meals were handed out so poorly they said it's the apps fault and there is nothing they can do according to their policy they are not to refund, but instead customers must just accept what they receive, and regardless of the menu description because what they present and displayed is their type of quality they give out, and example when they serve dry noodles with 3 prawns that's supposed to be their 557 item we must just accept it. That's very very disappointing. I think everyone should be aware because these are paid meals that are not value for money when you got to accept rubbbish like this its definitely disgusting...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLiterally the worst restaurant experience to date. It's a long weekend Sunday. The restaurant was Literally 90% understaffed. There were like 3/4 waitresses tending to a full restaurant of people and the Mr D delivery guys and the take-aways. The food was served COLD AND TASTELESS. Drinks were taking way too long to be delivered. Hubby had to go fetch a waiter to warm our food , for drinks , for water , for the bill even. We tried speaking to the manager. An Indian guy who didn't even have a mask on. He covered his mouth with a bandana. He was 100% arrogant, was not interested in hearing us out. Cross questioned us as if were illiterate and then completely dismissed us and walked away. Absolutely disgusting and disappointing experience and behaviour all round. Quality of food and service should not differ , regardless of how busy a restaurant is. If that is to be so then prices should also differ because the quality of services are...
