Frances at Auberge Burgundy — Restaurant in Overstrand Local Municipality

Oh. My. Goodness! On a short holiday to Hermanus we chanced upon Frances and, without a doubt, this is one of the best brunch spots in the entirety of Cape Town.

The food is absolutely absolutely delicious! Four of us had four separate meals, and I mean it when I say we were in flavour heaven! Phenomenal. Those chefs sure know what they're doing... We also unfortunately made things slightly difficult with various requests and picky requirements, but the staff were so patient, so kind, and so lovely. They made the meal into a truly lovely experience. We added some members to our party and went back a couple days later and everything was equally as delicious and wonderful as the first visit. Wished we could have camped out there for every meal!

Our first visit to Frances Restaurant in Hermanus was truly delightful. Bookings are essential to secure a table, so plan ahead. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

My husband and I shared the Parfait breakfast, which was absolutely delicious and something we will definitely order again. I had the Bacon & Brie wrap with a salad, which was lovely and tasty. The red cappuccino was a perfect complement to the meal.

A beautiful little breakfast restaurant that takes pride in making your morning worth attending to. We found the menu here really focused on offering a good breakfast and catering to most tastes even though it had fairly few offerings. This makes it easy to find what you want really quickly. The staff here are so accommodating and aim to please at every ask. I had the omlette and a red cappuccino, which were both excellent.
