Read moreExcellent Waffles Bee..... for brunch Friends recommended this place rather about the beer than the waffles. I go where Belgian beer is served. (smiley face)
We tried the restaurant a few times but each time the queue was too long and there isn't any space to wait, especially when you are a party of 6 adults.
With our last try, we decided that I will wait while the others browse the small shops in the plaza.
10 mins and we had a table for 6. We all ordered full-sized waffles and each their favourite Belgian beer. My choice of the day, La Trappe Witte Trappist as for all the guys around the table the same, the ladies tried the Vedett.
The waffles were most probably the best I have ever had. Crisp on the outside and light on the inside. The waffles were about 1" thick and close to the size of a 10" iPad. Even after taking about 30min to eat the monster it was still firm and not soggy from the massive amount of ice-cream on top.
Everybody enjoyed their waffle and beer for brunch. The food and beer excellent.
The owner visited our table a few times and enjoyed our excitement.
Excellent food, beer and service. Definitely, a must visit. I will...
Read moreHorrible experience. The waiter is absolutely rude and unfriendly and ruined the whole experience. The waffles and food are overrated and tasteless. They specialise in belgian food but the beligian waffles were absolutely burnt and made with horrible and cheap toppings. I do not recommend this place.
Edit: I have spoken to the management at the restaurant and voiced my concerns already. It was not dealt with. You are in a business learn to take constructive criticism. Just as you have good reviews, you have bad reviews too. As I have stated, overated and expensive. You can get better waffles anywhere else. Also, it wasn't the first time I have eaten at your restaurant so I have a right to inform people about the quality here. You state that you stand by your brands and by your standards, maybe you need to take more interest and pay attention to what happens at your restaurants. What I have stated in my reviews is nothing new as you can clearly read that other people have experienced also. Also, a personal vendetta?? Yeah, because giving a review would solve that. I am not hiding as i have already spoken to management in person....
