This was no pasta salmone. This was a solid block of congealed butter and cream with the pasta forming the outer walls. The styrofoam box had already leaked the oily mess onto the cover. It was visually disturbing. I tried to strain it at first at home. Some of this fat dripped into the sink, the rest left actual stains on the metal so that I had to use hot water and a scourer to remove it. I tossed the meal after 3 bites. Along with the metal strainer, washcloths and almost a full towel of paper cleaners. It was more like paste than pasta. Something you'd expect from Gordon Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmare. I've written reviews before, but never anything like this. So here I sit, 2 hours later, nauseous with a pain in my stomach unable to get my R400 back from Uber or I guess the restaurant too. My wife's salad was edible I suppose, but even she threw her salad away. The wasted effort I put into this letter and the complaints that were immediately dismissed by UberEats, would still be preferable than re-eating that dinner. Fellow foodies, don't be duped by the good reviews. This is a BAD restaurant. Please, please, stop.

Tonight we ordered takeout pizza from Posticino and went for the Al Greco and the Mexicana. The flavors? Absolutely delicious! The Mexicana brought a fiesta of spicy goodness, and the Al Greco was packed with rich toppings that made each bite memorable. But… there was one little challenge—those pizzas weren’t sliced properly. Wrestling with half-cut crusts and stretchy cheese was a bit messy. Still worth it? 100%. The staff, though, made up for it all with their friendly smiles and great service. And their slogan, "Another One Bites the Crust," couldn’t have been more fitting—because with pizzas this good, every bite is a victory (even if you need to wield your own pizza cutter). Great food, great vibes, and a bit of fun chaos—we’ll definitely be back for more! ✌️

Lovely seating outside on their stoep on a warm summer evening. Unfortunately, the salmon linguine pasta was not great and less than half of the substantial portion was eaten. My spinach and ricotta cannelloni was below average and completely overwhelmed by the (unwashed??) spinach. The sauce tasted like it contained only tomato and no bechamel. I couldn’t finish it. Even the focaccia was underwhelming and too heavy on the garlic. Also, not finished, which must be a first. Lastly, please note that the waiters will clear the entire restaurant around you while you are still eating, even carrying the tables away. This is an ongoing issue in cape town restaurants and completely disrespectful of paying customers. NOT RECOMMENDED

My review on this restaurant is perhaps a bit critical, but my experience lacked the finesse I would have expected from 'authentic' Italian. We attended the restaurant at a friends birthday, and we were a lot of people. Despite our numbers the service was great orders were taken timeously and were brought in good time, correctly. The decor lacks a modern feel. It feels like my childhood going into an old pizzeria, except the wall paper is old, outdated and due for a modern twist. (OPINION!) The food itself was a bit disappointing. I had the blue cheese pizza, and although tasty, it just required balance. The richness is great (and I mean I ordered it) but I expect the pizza to be good, regardless of the one I order. I LOVE cheese, don't get me wrong, but that was toe-curlingly rich. Perhaps some baked cherry-tomatoes, or a spritz of lemon on top just to cut through that rich, would have made it from a 7 to a 10. Also, the bases of ALL the pizzas were 'droopy' and almost kind of soggy. This was for pizzas with a variety of toppings which is weird and a bit unpleasant. Lastly on the food: my wife ordered the ravioli, which was underwhelming at best. When asked they said they are 'imported' which basically means frozen. You charge R46 for the ravioli and +- R120 for the sauce, thus R166 for me to eat something that was frozen and underwhelming. This makes me sad and upset (and out of money) all together. I would expect paying premium for 'authenticity', but not to pay premium for something I can buy at my local store and sauce myself? Overall, I won't opt to go back...

I felt like authentic Italian food and this looked like the place to go. I was surprised they didn’t sell bread or garlic bread to have with your meal as any Italian restaurant I have been to before has this. The food was ok but I found the pasta really salty. The service was reasonably fast and the place is clean but quite old inside. You have the option of sitting outside near the street if you wish. It was an ok experience but the end was what has left a bad taste in my mouth and will ensure I will never return. The waitress brought out my bill and had her eftpos machine in her hand ready to take my payment before I had even finished my drink. She processed the payment, didn’t show me the screen on the machine but it was a good thing I asked for a receipt. As I was leaving the restaurant I noticed on the receipt the waitress had charged me a higher amount than my total which included a tip as I know it is pretty much expected to do that. So she gave herself more of a tip. I went back straight away and told her she had overcharged me and she knew straight away and said “oh sorry. Let me sort this customer out and I will fix”. In the mean time while waiting for her to be free, someone else gave me the money back I had been overcharged. Ask for a receipt and check it as I get the impression this is not the first time she has done this! An overall very disappointing experience. No one likes to...
