I arrived just after 19:30 to meet a friend who was already seated. The hostess greeted me warmly with a smile and personally escorted me to the outdoor seating area where my friend was waiting.
Our server approached promptly, greeting us politely, though she didn’t introduce herself. We asked for about 10 minutes to browse the menu, and after a couple of minutes, another waiter came to take our order. At that point, I felt compelled to decide. We ordered two cappuccinos—one decaf and one regular—along with a slice of carrot cake and a lemon Mereng tart. The drinks arrived in a reasonable timeframe, and my cappuccino looked appealing and was delicious.
The lemon Mereng tart was generously portioned and good value for the price. However, the slice of carrot cake was somewhat small, though the quality was satisfactory. Both desserts were enjoyable.
My friend chose outdoor seating for the quiet ambiance, but unfortunately, the experience was disrupted by staff moving tables and equipment directly next to us, clearly preparing for an event the next morning. An extension cord was dangerously stretched across the floor, and staff were standing around having a lengthy conversation with what appeared to be a manager. Despite the noise and interruptions, no apology was offered. A simple "please excuse us as we move a few things" would have been appreciated. The manager didn’t check on us either, even though we were there for over three hours. The venue wasn’t busy, so the lack of customer consideration was disappointing.

Read moreI did not want to post here, but am forced to as I did not get a response to my email to head office regarding my complaint. This happened on the 18thJanuary The service is pathetic and the food even worse. No acknowledgement from waiters who casually walked around and ignored us even though we waved to them. It was not a a busy day, reasons I won't go into, my friend ordered a chicken mayo with salad and got the poorest quality chips ,looked like a mixture of fresh chips and a bit of the previous weeks. A spazs shop would have done a better job.I ordered an Avo on toast, it looked most unappetizing with no butter on the toast, no lettuce or tomato which i specifically asked for.. when asked about butter, i was tthat i shoukd have asked. the manager who dawdled to our table looked like he would have been happier if he stayed in bed that day. We no doubt didn't pay for the meal and sent it back. this was our second bad experience and will not be going back there. Having been in the food business mysrlf for over 40 years , this was poor at its bestm With so much competition, you would think they would impress to keep their customers to return....

Firstly, the lady who was standing by the entrance, the hostess I suppose told me that I must speak with any waiter/waitress see when I informed her that I wanted coffee to take away. I wondered why she was not getting the waiter/waitress for me but I let that go. I approached the waiter and ordered two take away coffees and he told me to sit down and wait for my order. Later, he came back with the bill and I asked for the machine since I was prepared to pay with the card then he told me that all their machines were defective. I didn't have cash on me, I asked him why they are not letting the customers know about this before they take orders he just smiled and told me that everyone who was sitting down were paying cash. I had to go to an ATM to get cash but then again my coffees were not ready I had to wait some more. Finally I got my order and left only to realise when I was gone that I was not given condiments.
