Beer. Good beer. Craft beer. Is there more that needs to be said? Perhaps not, but here I go regardless. Craft brewing has definitely listed the beer fame of most cities and when you are a tourist, in a tourist town doing tourist things, it can be a challenge to find anything other that a bottled or draft local standard. Happily this current era, for all its pitfalls has issued forth a delightful trend of young creative people who like to make nice things. As a Gen-X who had to make do with the basics I appreciate their thoughtful creativity and dedication to making things that all of us can enjoy.

The Galmegi Brewing bar is situated off the main strip of Haeundae, we were visiting on a recommendation from a friend. Korean beer is at best weak and tasteless so the prospect of visiting a proper craft brewery was welcoming.

Up a flight of stairs the bar overlooks the street which affords some people watching below, however the windows do not open and the glass was very dirty.

There is a reasonable selection of IPA's, APA's, pilsners and one sour. I was a bit disappointed, the beers lacked meaningful flavour and had little after taste. Prices range in the 7.5-10k won. The food is Western but...

Great craft beer bar in Haeundae Beach catering for beer lovers from far and wide. Good mix of locals, holidaymakers and expats from Europe, American and beyond. Their beer menu is varied in both strength by Alcoholic volume and variety oc choice.Both draft and bottled beers are on offer. Their food menu is also good, with great pizza's etc. The place has a very comfortable vibe and their choice of music is e exempalary, ranging from motown to rock, soul, and the Beatles to name but a few.
