During a recent visit to Busan, I had the pleasure of dining at Namaste Haeundae, an Indian restaurant that exceeded all my expectations. The experience was nothing short of delightful, from the warm and welcoming hospitality to the incredible flavors of the dishes.
I started with samosas, which were perfectly crispy on the outside and filled with a savory, spiced potato filling. It was a great introduction to the meal, setting the tone for what was to come. The chicken tikka was a standout, with tender pieces of chicken marinated in a flavorful blend of spices and grilled to perfection. It was juicy and had just the right amount of smokiness.
The bread offerings were also exceptional. The butter naan was soft, fluffy, and melted in the mouth, while the garlic naan had a delightful hint of garlic that complemented the other dishes beautifully. To wash it all down, I ordered a mango lassi, which was refreshing and sweet, with the perfect balance of yogurt and mango.
I was accompanied by my Mexican friend, and it was her first time trying Indian cuisine. She was thoroughly impressed by the variety and depth of flavors, which speaks volumes about the authenticity and quality of the food at Namaste Haeundae.
The host deserves special mention as well. His warmth and genuine hospitality made us feel right at home. He embodied the quintessential Indian hospitality, ensuring that our dining experience was enjoyable and memorable.

Read moreOn a recent stay in Busan we decided we wanted to see what Indian food was like in Korea. We read some reviews for a number of other indian restaurants in the area and decided to try Namaste.
At first the entrance is a little misleading as it takes you down some stairs to the basement level. However, once you arrive at the true entrance you're greeted by a host of delicious smells wafting out of the kitchen. The decor is tastefully done in a northern indian motif. The owner of the restaurant and his family were very hospitable and attentive.
We ordered the Lamb Korma and a Goat Curry as well as a few orders of garlic naan. Very good choices. The korma wasn't too spicy which was good for our daughter. The goat curry had a good amount of spicy heat which my wife and I were looking for.
We had also asked the server if they had Dosas, which she said they didn't. However, towards the end of the meal the owner stopped by and asked if we'd like to come back the following day, and he'd prepare a special set of Masala dosas for us as well as a jam and butter dosa for our daughter. We couldn't pass this up so we returned the following day as well. Just like the day before, we were very satisfied with the food. Great flavors, the dosas, though not on the menu, were perfect and the service was amazing.
The next time we're in Busan and have a hankering for Indian, we'll be going back to Namaste and I highly recommend you give them a try if...
