Such a cool spot, but there were NO people there :/ (literally 8pm on a Thursday and not a single soul other than me and the owner).
He was a rather cheerless kind of guy. I sat right at the bar and he didn’t really speak to me until I started trying to make conversation. And that was kind of tough. The guy said the place had been dead since covid and he seemed very despondent because of that, understandably so.
The ambiance was so nice though. If I lived in the area, this is the kind of place I’d want to go to every weekend. It had mid-level lighting, vinyls EVERYWHERE, band kit set up and ready to go, and decently priced drinks. And the owner really lit up when he started talking about his favorite band, the restaurant’s namesake. He even put on a few of their records after I asked.
I didn’t get any snack until I ordered something, which was an odd thing being in Korea. I will say though, those pretzels were pretty stale.
Overall, I think the place has so much potential, and with a little effort and time, I think the bar could really thrive.
To the owner, I’d like to offer some suggestions if I may:
Try to find live bands to play for free. You’d be surprised how many of them are willing to do it at no cost to you. Ask around, make connections, put out ads on social media. The bands will bring people and the people will bring business. In the meantime, opening up your space as a place bands can practice outside of business hours could bring in more revenue. Get some new pretzels. Throw the old ones away. Using airtight bags or jars to store them can help preserve their freshness longer. Work on your people skills or bring on a bartender Turn the music up and open the windows so people know you’re there! That’s free advertisement.
This is such a cool place and I’d really hate to see it go under. Hopefully this review helps! And if I can be of any further service to this awesome establishment, please reach out to...
Read moreAbsolutely fantastic. You'll have a hard time finding a better bar than this in the area. The atmosphere is fantastic and the host is super nice (plus his English is pretty good). The music choice is also perfect, and you can request just about anything. The drinks and overall feel are very western so it's not the place to be if you're looking for a more "Korean" themed establishment. But, it's still definitely worth the visit during a night...
Read moreVery impressive spot to enjoy vinyl music and some drinks. The staff who works at here is so professional in music. He is super organized and got to find the records from his collection, and play three songs that my husband requested. My husband had an amazing time here to drink and feel the good...
