카페호미 — Restaurant in Seoul

The place is very small, so it's not a typical place like some of the bigger cafes. The menu is very simple and straightforward. Based on some of the interesting choices in the gear for the grinder, espresso machine, gooseneck kettle, and V60, it's a place that cares about the product and beans. If I lived in the area, this would be a regular place to visit.

I had one pourover and a latte. For the pour, it was a very smooth drink. Based on the specific origin, it had a high bean:water ratio to bring out a certain light flavor profile. The latte, if I'm correct, used about 1:4 ratio of espresso:steam-milk. You don't come across this type of shop overseas, and it's not a place for everyone. We saw this place while picking up snacks for our toddler at 7 Eleven next door. I saw it had decent ratings, but for some reason it was still closed 15 minutes after the listed opening time. I should have taken this as a sign, but instead I waited for a couple minutes and the owner(?) arrived.

I then ordered an iced americano using an African origin blend. While the taste was floral and acidic, it was quite weak, much like something you'd find in a 3rd wave wannabe roaster in Japan.
