I had an incredible dining experience at Home Korean Cuisine near the MMCA in Seoul! This place offers a modern twist on traditional Korean dishes, and everything we tried was absolutely delicious.
The bibimbap was a vibrant mix of fresh vegetables, perfectly cooked rice, and a rich gochujang sauce that brought all the flavors together beautifully. Each bite was a delightful explosion of taste!
Next, we enjoyed the grilled pork with tok wraps. The pork was tender and flavorful, served with soft rice cakes that added a unique texture. It was fun to wrap everything up and create our own little bites.
The grilled root vegetables were a surprise hit! They were caramelized to perfection, bringing out their natural sweetness and adding a lovely depth to the meal.
And I have to mention the squid risotto—what a delightful surprise! Creamy and rich, it featured perfectly cooked squid that added an unexpected twist. It was one of the best dishes!
To top it off, they have a great selection of local alcohols that paired perfectly with our meal. If you're in Seoul, don't miss out on this gem! 🍽️✨

Perhaps she didn't understand the dish. The actual problem was with the sanitary conditions. We sat outside and looked right at the kitchen. Everyone wears gloves that they do not remove. This means they are protecting their hands but there is no hand washing from time to time. The craziest part was someone going with a mop to the bathroom to clean water from the floor then going back to the kitchen to put the mop down, not changing gloves and touching equipment in the kitchen. He later went back to the bathroom and returned once again without changing gloves. You guys need to rethink your glove policy... it is outdated and...
Read moreThe vibe of the hanok and the waitress’s service were nice — but that’s about it.
The food was way too salty, which totally goes against their “healthy food” concept. Portions were super small for the price. The jeyuk bokkeum was almost $20 but seemed to use cheap pork and didn’t feel like a full serving. The dumpling hot pot had just 2-3 dumplings for two people — also nearly $20 per person.
There’s an Italian place right next door called “The Hanok Smith Likes” — similar price, but way more satisfying.
As someone who often hangs out with foreigners, I wouldn’t take them here. Honestly, I wouldn’t come back even with Korean friends. This just doesn’t feel like real...
