Aqua garden cafe Lotte World Tower — Restaurant in Seoul

What a Beautiful cafe!! We truly enjoyed the time here. Tons of unique fishes and each aquarium tank is beautifully decorated. It is really spacious inside and I believe drink and dessert price is very fair if you think about the cost of maintenance! We loved the tea and cute teddy bear chocolate ganache cake. Staffs were so friendly and nice and maintained the cafe so neat by constantly cleaning the tables. Kudos to amazing staff who works tirelessly to keep up with people’s demands and crowd controlling while maintaining these tanks. Look, this place is amazing overall BUT there are many tanks here that are overstocked, with signs of stress on the fish. The large fish tanks are way too full, the fish cannot swim without bumping into others, there are some fish with lesions, and others with bites or disease.

This place could be even more amazing, they could show the public that over stocking and keeping fish of different biotopes together that don't belong is not best practice. That we are keeping fish that in the wild demand so much more space in a glass box that is tiny for their entire lives is not ok.....

Please think of the fish...

It's absolutely beautiful and I definitely recommend this cafe if you love fish and beautiful aquariums. But the staff really wasn't nice. I asked for a paper cup so I could put water in it for my aquarelle painting. The guy looked at me a bit uncomfortable and than kinda shook his head like it's not possible. My friend asked for an extra cup instead and he still acted really difficult about it and than eventually gave him an espresso cup, so I could barely put any water inside of it. I don't know if he thoughts we wanted "free" water or what his reasoning was, but this really...
