Bukchon Kimchijae is a fantastic spot if you're looking for an authentic Korean meal. I tried their Kimchijjim (kimchi stew), and it had a flavor that any Korean would absolutely love. For those not accustomed to spicy food, it might be a bit spicy, but it's definitely worth trying.

The restaurant's location is excellent. It's surrounded by many popular tourist attractions, including the Bukchon Hanok Village, so you'll have plenty of places to explore after your meal. Considering it's in a major tourist area, I found the prices to be quite reasonable.

Kimchi-jjigae, or kimchi stew, is another one of my favorite Korean dishes. Itโ€™s a hearty, stew-like dish made with kimchi, pork, scallions, onions, and diced tofuโ€”one of the most common and comforting stews in Korean cuisine. This time, we also tried a variation with Korean mackerel, which has a slightly sweeter taste and uses whole kimchi instead of chopped pieces. I love both versions!

Short walk from Anguk station and was fairly crowded on a saturday afternoon around 1pm. Waited about 5 mins for them to clear the tables. Ordered the short ribs kimchi stew for 3 paxs (min order for 2) and the omelette with cheese. Portion was decent with about 4 pieces of ribs, a packet of ramen and 3 bowls of rice and side dishes. English menu was provided and the waitresses could...
