Fritz Coffee Wonseo — Restaurant in Seoul

I have been here umpteen times, as this is one of my favorite coffee shops for a weekday brunch. On the weekend, the store tends to get crowded (not my thing). The store offers a good-enough selection of breads, freshly baked, reasonably priced, and delicious, of course. The indoor sitting is set inside two small adjacent hanok-style rooms. There are also a couple of seats outside the hanok, by the window that gives customers the feeling of being in a hanok while not being constrained within the 4 walls. The outdoor seating has recently been revamped the to include tentage (ostensibly for dealing with the scorching sun and extreme heatwaves) and more comfortable furniture. This is a coffee chain but I fancy this particular outlet because of its proximity to Insadong, Bukchon and Gyeongbok palace. Since it's one of my favourites, I...

Apricot danish was chef special for that day, it was natural sweet from apricot and crispy from danish. Danish dough was crunchy and not too buttery.

Pain au chocolate is one of most popular item, it was not too buttery but so crispy and I feel like it is a dark chocolate filling.

The Blueberry Pie! I would say it a must recommend item that I will definitely buy it again for my next visit. Blueberry filling is natural sweet with perfect crunchy pie dough.

Coffee is perfectly brew.

Really recommend both coffe and their pastries.

Tiny area where you buy bakery and order coffee that's why few customers may enter by queue.

However, plenty seating area both in and outdoor area. Around 20+ seats.

Atmosphere is...

Hot latte served in a mug. Coffee tasted a little sharp, like the average boutique coffee roaster trying too hard - not enjoyable. Microfoam was done well and not overly creamy. Most pastries were overcooked with a dry husk-like appearance and hollow echo when you touch them with serving tongs. I selected a Cream Cru which had excellent creamy custard. Service was poor. I stupidly returned the tray of plates and cups, got a muttered thanks and the staff member looked at me like I kicked her dog.
