Pretty nice hotel when you just want somewhere to lodge. It's walking distance from Insadong, some palaces/tourist spots, and more importantly, from Jungno3 subway station. There's also a nearby convenience store in case you need something in the middle of the night. There are many small drinking/bbq stalls nearby, a small and nice coffee place, and food shops. As for the hotel, it's warm inside and that's all we really cared about 'cause it was cold outside. The bathroom's small but we managed. Breakfast is the same everyday but we don't really mind. You can eat elsewhere if you want to. They said the serving lady seemed rude but I think she's not that bad. She'd smile if you smile at her and she'd help you if you asked (or gestured for help). She doesn't speak English though and insists to speak Korean (or Chinese, she seems to be Chinese) so I think others might consider that rude. She seems to be the only one managing the breakfast table (from preparation, serving, and cleaning up) so she may seem a bit hasty and rude. But speaking with her is an exercise in context clues and sign languages; strangely we managed to communicate. The front desk people however can speak English and are very nice and accommodating. It's also very easy to find, better if you're using KakaoMaps instead of Google...

Read moreWe stayed here for 5 nights, a great little hotel for the price and excellent location! |We found it easily from the nearest tube station - Jongno 3-ga - when we first arrived we took the main road before we got our bearings with the alleyways. ||We had a room on the 5th floor, the room was small (as expected in a major Asian city) but we had room enough for our two hand luggage cases to both be open on the floor throughout our stay. |Bathroom was a wet room but the fan was pretty good so the water cleared quite fast. |Shower amenities provided, and towels. |We had room cleaning once during our stay where the room was freshened up and we were given clean towels, and new bottles of water in the fridge. ||We also borrowed an adaptor from the front desk for a 10,000w deposit which we were given back when we checked out. ||All in all i would definitely recommend the Petercat if you are looking for a no frills, clean and super quiet hotel in a brilliant location. |Insadong was our favourite area of all! |Thanks for...
