Gimsambo Jongno — Restaurant in Seoul

Unfortunately, despite having a somewhat good food, the staff is extremely rude and unpleasant. It might have been the fact that we are foreigners, and yet it doesn't permit them to literally turn around and leave in frustration when I made an order for the thing they didn't want me to serve. During the meal time, one of the working ladies would come and almost intentionally put the spoons and chopsticks in the table by heavily shaking the table and making our stew spill. Didn't notice that behavior when she would approach other tables. Moreover, at the end, when we tried to pay, everybody working their looked at us waving and standing by the cashier with our money out and simply ignored. To add, it was closer to the closing time so it really wasn't busy at all. Trust me, there are so many great places around that area that serve a much better kimchi/budae jjigae and still treat...

The worst restaurant I have ever experienced in Jongno-district are when it comes to the service I received. The food is okay, but the staff is very unfriendly towards me because I think I only visited this restaurant. They gave me a bowl of rice after 34 minutes after I kept asking for a rice to eat. They did give me a bowl of rice, but I couldn't eat anything. Moreover, I asked for giving me a little more Kimchi because they gave me so little. However, they said only people who ordered the meat can eat more side dishes. I have lived in this area since I was born. This type of service is shocking to me. I reckon a group of people who are willing to order a large amount of meat will be welcomed. I will not recommend this restaurant especially for a person who visited this...

I recommend this restaurant only for the food it serves and nothing else. The service ladies are extremely rude, frontal, and arrogant. As a foreigner they will make you feel completely unwelcome to their establishment.

They will laugh at you for not understanding their language and menu.

They will continue to ridicule you throughout your dining experience for reasons as simple as "A plate with no noodles"

I'd recommend going for the other Gimsambo...
