Grand Kitchen — Restaurant in Seoul

I visited the Grand Kitchen at Intercontinental Seoul Parnas on a Saturday for dinner at 7:50pm. It was full. But I could not justify the price of W105,000 per head versus the restaurant's very limited offerings. At half the price, I felt that Seascapes, Cacao Tree and The Party BEXCO buffet restaurants in Busan were all much better when it came to food offerings and overall ambience. The main selling factor of this restaurant, I felt, was the hotel it was located at - the Intercontinental. But the food...just ok! Yes, there were lobster, lamb chop, prime steak, uni, king crab...but that's basically it on top of the other usual buffet treats. The sashimi section was very limited with 3 types of sushi already placed on prepared mini plates. The dessert section was also very limited! There's only one type of pizza, one type of pasta, the meat offerings were not so varied.

I have been to several high-end buffet restaurants all over Korea and the world, so I don't understand why this place came highly recommended by some. It is overrated. I am sure there are plenty other buffet restaurants in Seoul which are far...

The Grand Kitchen, which features open feeling from a 7 meter high space and front windows, is a buffet restaurant that offers healthy menus using fresh local ingredients.

Considering Category 2 even for dinner on weekends (Children under 12 half price), the prices are moderate.

We wanted something different from Korean BBQ, so chance upon this high end buffet after a Google search. It’s located inside the Coex Intercontinental. It was middle of the week so we were surprised to see a packed restaurant. Nevertheless the hostess was kind enough to find a table for four of us. If you come, highly recommend a reservation ahead.

We were impressed by both the selection and the quality. It is not often we find abalone in a mass market buffet setting! We also enjoyed grilled lobster, eel, king crab, and a nice variety of Korean dishes. Of course with top notch food the price isn’t cheap. Nevertheless our family definitely agree it...
