This is a premium Chinese (Hong Kong) styled restaurant and the portions are alright.
Be prepared for a long queue. They provide a digital queuing system that also caters for non-local phone numbers. Their system will text message you when your table is ready.
Perhaps my expectations exceeded the results but I was disappointed with the HK milk tea which was premade and dispensed in a can. There is a sharp aftertaste which is reminiscent of artificial sweeteners which I dislike. There is no option for a hot drink version and the menu didn’t state this.
The claypot rice, their best sellers, was good but nothing unique if you have tried claypot rice in other countries. Perhaps in this environment it reigns supreme as it’s surrounded by local cuisines and offers an alternative yet somewhat familiar ingredients presented in a different way.
I cannot give it 5 star rating because of my personal biases and exposure to Chinese cuisine at more competitive prices.
Overall the experience was positive and the service was efficient. I would skip the milk tea and enjoy the...
Read moreWhat a gem! This place gets crazy busy because it is SO good! You get seated (if you get there after 1120 pm a weekday expect to wait for a table), check which items you want and bring it up to the cashier to pay before you eat. It is so quick and fresh I will be back every time I’m in town. Servers are so nice but busy so if you want something go up to the counter and order again. Water is on the table. We inhaled all the dim-sum because it was all so good so there are no pics! We tried one order of each: truffle bao buns were AMAZING, the squid ink has shrimp in them and were not fishy at all, and soup dumplings so good, SO HOT (do not burn your mouth like I did lol). The hand cut noodles with tofu were the perfect amount of spice and surprisingly flavorful (not usually...

My son said his shrimp dumplings were great (lots of shrimp). My mapo tofu was okay. I was more concerned about the overall service. It did feel like we were rushed the whole time. As soon as we got served the foot, someone came to say they close at 8:30 pm. Also, when we paid by credit card many merchants allow us to select the currently (KRW or USD). I noticed that they selected USD and by doing so, we incur a 3% conversation fee. Not good. Hence my lowering of them to a 3--bad customer service, being rushed, and mediocre foot (at best). Mall food, I guess. Eat at...
