Not super sure why the reviews on this place aren’t higher because we had the most delightful meal here (I’d go as far to say that this was the highlight meal of our trip).

A Korean fried recommended this place to us. The menu is pretty straightforward - it’s just 1 thing - Mulgabi, and you’ll be served according to the number of people you have. The owner (I’m gonna assume he owns the place) could obviously tell we were foreign when we started trying to translate the menu and went to great lengths to make sure we were eating the Mulgabi in the proper way + having a great time. 5 stars for service.

The Mulgabi itself is well seasoned, pork was tender. Even the service sides (there was a raw crab dish) were delicious. We ordered the fried rice at the end, which cost 5000. The fried rice is basically a bowl of rice, thrown into what’s left of the Mulgabi pot, mixed with all the leftover sides. Attached some videos of the entire process, which took awhile. All I can say is that was one good dish of fried rice.

무생채, 김치, 양념게장, 된장찌개, 콩나물무침이 기본찬으로 깔리고 물에 빠진 갈비의 등장과 함께 지글지글 사운드의 매력에 풍덩 빠져든다.

자작한 물갈비를 졸여서 먹는 형태로 처음엔 간이 싱겁게 맞춰 나오지만 졸일수록 간에 맞게 설계 되어 있다.

우리가 아는 갈비맛에 크게 다르지 않지만 이 곳의 포인트는 볶음밥에 있다.

셀프로도 볶음밥(2,000)에 먹을 수 도 있지만 사장님의 화려한 손기술을 보고 싶다면 볶음밥(5,000) 주문을 추천한다. 절대 5,000원이 아깝지 않다ㅋㅋ

여느 식당을 가든 마무리로 볶음밥을 먹어야 하는 한국인의 특성을 잘 살렸고 번거로운 숯불갈비 대신에 비교적 손이 덜 가는 장점이 있고, 특히 더운 여름엔 좀 더 편리 할 것 같다.

충무로에 전통있는 노포식당이 많은데한군데 한군데 가보는 것도 재미 요소 일것 같다ㅎㅎ
