This is supposedly the first shop that invented the mayak Gimbap! The shop has air conditioned sitting areas on the first and second floors. Glad to have found this shop cos it was so hot! We were there on a Monday afternoon. The market was still bustling with many local and foreign tourists. We went up to the second floor as the first floor was full. The ajjumas at the front of the shop were busy frying fresh batches of bindaetteok. You can be sure they will be piping hot when they reach you! We ordered mayak Gimbap, Tteokbokki, and bindaetteok. Our food was delivered efficiently via their internal food lift from the first to the second floor! Can’t go wrong with freshly deep fried bindaetteok! The Tteok was fresh and fatter than the thin ones we’ve eaten at other stalls. Loved the soft chewiness. The sauce was sweet and not too spicy. The mayak Gimbap only had carrots in them and a hint of sesame oil flavor.
