Really sad, but the owner is a vicious dragon lady that I cannot consciously give my money to. I was there having lunch with a friend, ordered, sat down and noticed an older Korean lady repremanding one of the kitchen staff a few tables away. There were a few other tables of customers at the time, but she didn't seem to care. My friend was noticeably uncomfortable listening to the owner starting to raise her voice, while her staff just sat quiet, head lowered. I looked over with a blank face of disapproval to the lady, she noticed and apologized and lowered her voice, but then asked the staff to go get another employee. We got our food and started to eat. The owner then proceeded to start yelling at both of the staff again. This time I asked her politely to not raise her voice while we're trying to enjoy our lunch and to please stop as it was humiliating to the staff, uncomfortable for my friend & was now making the other customers feel uncomfortable. Unapologetically she tried to justify her behavior by saying we wouldn't believe the trouble she deals with and that she needed to reprimand her staff. We were so disgusted by her attitude that we asked her kitchen staff to wrap our food to go and left. I haven't been back since as the thought of supporting such a person just doesn't sit...
Read moreVery rude staff, small food portions not worth the money. :(
We ordered Kale-Orange juice and got a green smoothie that tasted like banana. My friend has a banana allergy, so I tried to get a refund for her, but the manager told me that it’s written on the menu, we checked and it wasn’t, so then she told me we should’ve told them about the allergy beforehand. I mean if you order potatoes you also don’t expect to get carrots?! I’m yet to understand this logic 😅 In the end we reluctantly got a refund, but we certainly won’t come back. Seeing other people's reviews it seems like this kind of rude customer treatment isn’t an exception. We ordered an orange juice instead that came in the smallest glass I've ever seen (~100ml) and for 8.000₩ that’s just ridiculous.
The food portions were very small for the price and the meat in the Thai bowl very very chewy and slightly burnt yet rare.
There are so many nice places in the neighborhood, spend your money...
Read moreOne of the best experiences I had in Seoul! The staff was fluent in English and was very helpful with the menu. We ordered avocado roll, chicken panini, mushroom soup and the mexican bowl. Food reminded me of home, and I wish there was Root Everyday in the states!!! I could literally have them EVERYDAY! Their terrace was lovely- we only got to take the photo before we left cuz it was packed when we came in. Again, recommend this place if you are looking for hearty food with fresh ingredients and...
