Starbucks Jongno-gu Office — Restaurant in Seoul

A Starbucks where is very nice to go and easy to find around the Jongro-gu office. And it will be very convenient to come if you stay at 'Shilla Stay' hotel because this cafe is in the 1st floor of the hotel building; you can't miss this place. However, 'to-go' is the only option for all menu and people who are visiting here should wear masks due to higher level of social...

Anything you expect from a Starbucks...clean. A lot of space. Not the most convenient seats. All hard wood or plastic. WiFi worked without a flaw. The waitress screaming the order through the hall in her highest voice was disturbing...but maybe only for me as a western....otherwise friendly and professional service...cannot complain at all. Big nice room. Even in winter time...

언제부터인가 스벅이 급속도로 증가하기 시작했다. 세포분열 하듯이 도시 이곳저곳을 빠르게 침투했다. 채 5분거리도 안되는 곳에도 불쑥불쑥 생겨났다. 커피는 이제 현대인과 도시인의 필수 기호품이 되었다. 그래서일까 시내 토요일 오후였는데도 이상하게 사람들로 바글바글거렸다. 작년인가 재작년 어느 때하고는 완전히 딴판이었다. 그때 광화문 근처를 어슬렁거리다가 미국대사관 뒷편에 있는 스벅을 찾아 들어갔는데 너무 썰렁한 것이었다. 그 때가 퇴근시간 무렵이어서 그랬을지도 모른다는 생각을 했다. 그러나 그 뒤에도 찾아갔는데 역시 마찬가지였다. 나로서는 사람이 없는 것이 마음이 편했다. 지금 다시 생각해보니 코로나 시국이었는지도 모르겠다. 하지만 새로운 신제품을 먹기 위해 급하게 쫒기듯이 들어갔다가 나오는 그곳을 다시...
