Tom's Pizza is an interesting place. The shop screams US, but the guy who makes pizza is a Kiwi. If you want a decent greasy 'Murican pizza, well, I dunno, this is not really your place.
Then you might ask, what's with the 5 star review? Well the pizza might not be American, but for me as a guy who uses a tissue to suck the grease on the cheese before eating a pizza, this pizza was something that I've always wanted but never had it in the US, an American pizza without the disgusting grease.
But the real deal here are the Buffalo Wings. As a Buffalonian I can say that this place is probably the ONLY place that you can have PROPER BUFFALO WINGS. Say goodbye to those rubbish barbequed hot wings the locals serve you, the buffalo wings here are served crispy hot with THE hot sauce you get from the US.
And lastly, Tom is a good guy. If you need somebody to talk to, he's your guy. I've seen a lot of loner male Koreans talk to him and Tom actually replies to them(unlike some other place...). He's not super talkative, but he does keep company with the guys on the bar.
The only downside for this place is there may be a long waiting line since the place is pretty small and the turnover is pretty long. But we all know what that means(HINT: This place is good).
Edit: I went the other day and my friend and I thought it would be nice to take a picture and upload it on the review, hence...

Summary - Cozy American pizza place serving up some of the best pizzas in Seoul. If you like pizza you need to come.
Waffle fries - Lightly spiced (salt and paprika) thick cut and served with burger sauce. Made in house and very good.
Pizzas - white and lamb pizzas were ordered, breakdown below
The crust - is some of the best I've had. The fermentation is phenomenal, and both pies I had were cooked to perfection. I will need to make a return visit to see if they are consistent.
The white pizza - is the perfect blend of garlic, mushroom, truffle and cheese tied together with a light white sauce. No singular flavor overpowers the other and the entire pizza was a joy to eat from first bite to crust.
The lamb pizza - is an intense combination of lamb sausage, red sauce?, cilantro, red onion, and dollops of tsaziki; it could have also contended as one of the best gyros I ever had. It was a complete 180° from the white's delicate balance of flavor in the best way possible.
Ambiance is very relaxed. Service is top notch. Next time I'm trying the...
Read moreEvery time I come to Tom's pizza, It is an experience that brings me back to my High school days where everyone knows everyone in the neighborhood and you can just have a chat with the people in the parlor. That is what I have missed about my experiences in pizza places in Korea. For the most part they are very commercial and there is no personal touch with the owner or the patrons. Here you can rest up your feet and feel welcomed. Also, there is no judgement and just banter can go on for hours and hours. For people who are not used to this culture, it may be awkward at first, but this really brings a genuine expat experience to Korea that I cherish for my time here.
You never know what he is cooking in the kitchen and I always get some amazing variety. So just to list a few, I have had a blue cheese pizza where it had it throughout along with the crumble, Calzone filled with blue cheese delight, ranch chicken pizza and finally the classic pepperoni. Sometimes you might get lucky with a lamb meatball pizza or some other flavors he is trying out. Tom's just doesn't only have food that is true to what it should taste like, he is a very funny guy who brings smiles to everyone. The humor might not be for everyone, but it is perfectly right for me! Will keep going for as long as I...
